If you are, you are very welcome. It is up to you whether you open everything now or wait until Christmas - I wrapped everything without thinking about whether you would want to check what I got your DCs so feel free to check it's ok for them.

I don't know you on here but I'm sorry that you get scared - I have experienced anxiety and panic attacks on and off over the years so I know what fear feels like and I hope you can have a relaxing and peaceful Christmas.

Well xmas2014santa1714 - thank You so so much for a beautiful box of bounty! Dd1 LOVES her magazines, and you got it spot on with clothes sizes (I'll try and put up a little pic with what we made from the mister maker one). Dh is very excited he has a little something as I texted him at work and thank.you for the beautiful and wonderful things you gave our family. A selection of gifts so perfect that I am almost certain you must know us!!

I am so sorry for the delay in posting on this thread. My little boy has been in hospital almost continually since he relapsed in October and haven't had a moment to get in MN.

Firstly thank you so much to the kind person who nominated me. I don't post a huge amount so am very touched that someone thought of me.

I have been incredibly lucky to receive three secret Santa gifts from

All three gifts were incredibly generous and kind, and I am so touched by the thoughtfulness to someone you haven't even met.

It has been an incredibly hard year, especially for my poor little boy but your kind gifts have put a smile back on his (and my!) face.

As an aside my dd is in hospital at the mo and someone in the parents room was talking about the mn secret santa last night and people were all commenting on how hard it must be to organise and what a fab idea it all is. The dc bought/chose some stuff from the school Christmas fair to include in the "Mumsnet parcel" - if you've opened dd2's gift and also seen the unwrapped box with a silver gift bow on, you've probably spotted their contribution...... I figured that babies don't need much at dd2's age so I concentrated on DD1.

Hope you get time to put your feet up with some of the nibbles over the Christmas break.

I do have a confession however - there would have been a box of mini stollen bites but tragically they wouldn't fit in the box so I ate them, yes all 9 of them over the course of the evening when I was wrapping and packing. There, I feel better for confessing that.

I bought a pack of marzipan and butter mini-stollens after seeing them advertised and thinking they would be fine for Xmas Day evening. The other day I had to go and buy two more packs because the first pack had disappeared.

I'm now devising strategies for managing not to put them out at all.

They'd go real well with gin though, MNHQ. I think SantaSandy and the elves deserve a treat by now.

Well I've got a wrapping night planned, so I think the mini fruitcake bites may take a bit of a bashing then may not even tell dp they existed hehe.

Aww bless them with their contribution, he is adorable, and has proud prime place on dd's bedside table! Was thumper bunny their input too? He's beautiful!

Hi, from the posts on here it looks as though and SS's should get a mail that there parcel has been received from mumsnet even if there is no post on this thread. I posted mine 2 weeks ago and no mail from mumsnet. I'm guessing that the recipients get a pop up reminder to ask them to notify MN that it has been received (all great developments from last year) so it is worrying that my MN hasn't acknowledged receipt. Either it hadn't arrived, and I would hate my MN to feel I hadn't bothered, although I suspect that had more than one nomination, or their circumstances are such that they are finding it hard to get onto MN at the moment. Either way, I'm hoping all is well with my recipient, and wishing all the lovely SS's and MN's on this thread a very merry Christmas.

That's what I'm concerned about, I'd hate my nominee to think I hadn't bothered. Even if they hate what I sent I'd like to know it had arrived.

Patience, I think - although I realize that you both might be a little anxious. The receipt thingy is an addition brought in by MN but it's not compulsory to use it and I think Considerably had it right - some people may have difficult circumstances and not be able to log on to MN for a period for one reason or another.

Although it's wonderful - especially for DCs - to have a gift, I suspect that for many nominees, even just being nominated and knowing they're not alone is the icing on their Xmas.

Bear with them if you can.
