HemmingGate: To ban or not to ban, that is the question MNHQ

Some of us would like to know if a certain politico will be banned, proper.

No rush.

We know you have a lot on your plate with ... stuff.

(I probably got two quotes mixed up in subject line. Don't panic! It's me not you. Am philistine. Italy is wasted on me. Not keen on art, prefer shopping.)

Watch put for the snappy replies. A councillor almost bit my head off after midnight last night.

Have sent to various places at the BBC.

I said:

"MP JOHN HEMMING BANNED FROM MUMSNET

Thought [xxx programme] might be interested in the story of the Lib Dem MP and self-proclaimed champion of parents who has got himself banned from Mumsnet, the UK's leading parenting website.

A brief synopsis is set out in this Mumsnetter's blog post:

homeschoolinitaly.blogspot.it/2013/12/hemminggate.html

Links to the relevant discussions are contained at the end of the blogpost.

Many thanks for reading"

Think they will just ignore if they're not interested.

Raises Wine to Lost and all who sail in her !

CarpeVinum · 31/12/2013 00:09

Bore They'll read it with that subject line Grin

I swear people are more interested in the fact he got "not sober" and ended up banned than they are about the slight court order breechy business.

Tis brill hook to get them to pay attention to the serious stuff.

my breath was sharply intaken. that doesnt happen often. ive never seen a foolhardy MP on a mission to self destruct before though.....i do hope the higher echelons get wind of their wappy loose cannon.....

PacificDingbat · 31/12/2013 07:41

Annoyingly I am expected to go to work today, you know, gainful employment (well, self-employment).

So, happy campaigning and I'll rejoin later Smile

EirikurNoromaour · 31/12/2013 08:18

How has this not been picked up by the media yet? It's shocking. JH needs to go down.

MrsWembley · 31/12/2013 08:19

Fuck! You're all here already, I just posted on the old thread.

Sad

Anyway, I said, he's actually let comments stand in his blog!

If everyone just goes and posts one thing won't that derail him for a bit? After all he's just one man (or he's got just one man to do his dirty work) and we're fucking thousands!

DoItTooBabyJesus · 31/12/2013 08:28

Hello. Lurked a while after I got the just of what Hemming has been up to.

Have you contacted the Birmingham Mail? The consumer editor is usually very good.

www.birminghammail.co.uk/contact-us/

Also, I see Jess Phillips got in on the action! Vote Jess!

DoItTooBabyJesus · 31/12/2013 08:29

Gist, not just. Ipad autocorrect drives me nuts!

Spero · 31/12/2013 09:05

He seems to be engaging with me on twitter about a debate. I think it's important to get him to agree as he would lose. If he won't agree he is coward and this would be fantastic stick with which to beat him in future. Could we do twitter hashtag #hemmingdebate or similar and pile on to 'encourage' him?

CarpeVinum · 31/12/2013 09:51

DoItToo

Just emailed her. Thanks for the heads up as per who to contact.

Spero

Inspiration for "encoraging" tweet content please ! My own initial draft efforts seem to be lacking encouragiment, more ... brickbats. Grin

OP posts:
CarpeVinum · 31/12/2013 10:18

Should read MY latest tweet to fuido fawkes, not his latest tweet.
