HemmingGate: To ban or not to ban, that is the question MNHQ

Some of us would like to know if a certain politico will be banned, proper.

No rush.

We know you have a lot on your plate with ... stuff.

(I probably got two quotes mixed up in subject line. Don't panic! It's me not you. Am philistine. Italy is wasted on me. Not keen on art, prefer shopping.)

1 comment, from John Hemming:

Back to his old tactic of putting the onus onto others to come back to him. If he was that anxious to clear his name, you'd think he'd have taken the very first possible opportunity to publish the correct facts in his comment. But no, he's actually happy to leave the article up and just make vague bullying assertions about defamation. Let's hope the Times is a bit tougher than the Birmingham Post (but I thought it was the Birmingham Mail?)

Spero · 03/01/2014 12:42

Given that they are quite keen on televising court proceedings now, I think you will all be better off in one of the many fine pubs along Fleet Street with a live video link.

Spero · 03/01/2014 12:43

Tiredmamma, no I will be much more dignified than that. More in sorrow than in anger etc.

Tiredemma · 03/01/2014 12:45

Bham Mail and Post are owned by Trinity group (The Mirror)

Spero · 03/01/2014 12:46

So many chickens coming back to so many roosts.

I may just take a moment here to bask.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 03/01/2014 12:49

Btw, at "a lot of this article is incorrect", not all of it Grin

Spero, better get yourself over to S&B to ensure you are suitably attired for Court.

Outfit must include MN scarf, surely?

and mumsnet haircut?....maybe not !

CarpeVinum · 03/01/2014 13:01

Hang on a minture, are those links are changing content? The BBC one said "naming the mother" last night, now it says "naming the family".

I'm sure it's changed... or am I confusing it with one of the other ones ?

And if he does try it Spero I think we should all go and ask Simon Singh for tips and back up procurement.

Lovely potential case this one for that campaign to jump up and down about, with entirely good reason.

We need to report him to the Police. As said on the Telegraph site, if Peaches Geldof is deemed worthy of investigation into confidentiality breaches, then Hemming is.

Let's all get reporting if nobody has already.

MadameDefarge · 03/01/2014 13:17

mig, that is really really clever. Ha!

CarpeVinum · 03/01/2014 13:19

What is the right number for the police ?

I only know 999

Even in my "dog with bone"state, I recognise that isn't perhaps the best one to call.

Is there a special squad, like murder has ?
