HemmingGate: To ban or not to ban, that is the question MNHQ

CarpeVinum · 30/12/2013 17:46

Some of us would like to know if a certain politico will be banned, proper.

No rush.

We know you have a lot on your plate with ... stuff.

(I probably got two quotes mixed up in subject line. Don't panic! It's me not you. Am philistine. Italy is wasted on me. Not keen on art, prefer shopping.)

basic iffy Italian.

This a good day.

His attempts to minimise have failed.

MurderOfGoths · 03/01/2014 12:16

Ah but if you think the rules don't apply to you, why would you bother operating within them? He's obviously above all of us mere mortals..

MadameDefarge · 03/01/2014 12:16

Carpe and everyone, I can't believe what a fantastic job you have all done...

Sooooo brilliant!

MurderOfGoths · 03/01/2014 12:16

I do like that he's starting to drop the "oops silly me" routine, shows we are getting somewhere.

MadameDefarge · 03/01/2014 12:17

Poor John. He should have been born Italian, I think it is his spiritual political home...

(apols Carpe and Lake!)

MadameDefarge · 03/01/2014 12:18

I wonder if we are going to see the Mr Nasty thing now.

MurderOfGoths · 03/01/2014 12:19

Suspect so Madame, just hope Spero isn't going to be too much of a target. :(

BoreOfWhabylon · 03/01/2014 12:22

Just posted on the other thread the contact details for Parliamentary Commissioner for standards

www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/standards-and-interests/pcfs/contact-us/

I think they should be told the whole sorry story, by as many of us as possible.

CarpeVinum · 03/01/2014 12:23

Well he probably is outside of the rules in Italy vis a vis privacy laws. But...doesn't go down well when a politico from Britian stomps all over your legislation cos ...Diplomacy!

There is a lot of hurt pride about being the butt of British "point and laugh" during Berlusconi's Rein of The Clown. Some massive pained dignity/wronged party/"point and laugh" reversed Brownie points to be gleaned from this side of the alps making an almight great fuss about this.

And they are being informed.

Oh yes they are.

With accents in the right place and everything.

other thread? what am I missing?

SantasPelvicFloor · 03/01/2014 12:23

More threats from JH then?

CarpeVinum · 03/01/2014 12:24

Well I do sort of think of him as a cheapo version of Berlusconi Madame

But think his welcome might be a bit thin at the mo.

CarpeVinum · 03/01/2014 12:25

For anybody who hasn't seen it, this might be why Mr Hemming is starting to get ants in his pants The advice given was acted upon once read

Spero's thread in 'InThe News' Madame

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/in_the_news/1954789-For-all-of-you-who-dont-understand-the-disgust-with-the-Daily-Mail?

CarpeVinum · 03/01/2014 12:28

If anybody wants to tweet that legally link above, pointing out how Nauthy Step doesn't cut it legally, it would be a huge help turning the focus of this story around.

Think the LIbDems and all the people tweeting the press stories ought to see it.

I really have to go do some laundry. I am offically naked at this point due to laundry mountian crisis.

OP posts:
Spero · 03/01/2014 12:30

haahahahaha so you got the Birmingham Mail piece pulled eh? For being 'defamatory'?

Well John, I tweeted that link to my followers - now about 208! hurrah for me!

So sue me for defamation. come on sue me. Lets bring this to an open court, what do you say John?

Spero · 03/01/2014 12:32

I am quite happy to be his target. Silly man doesn't understand that I actually enjoy standing up in court and waffling on and on and on. Its been my job for 15 years. I love it, and I flatter myself I am reasonably competent at it.

You can't frighten me with court Hemming.

Good to know Spero Grin If it goes to court, can we come watch?

Tiredemma · 03/01/2014 12:38

Why does he need to be 'contacted to clarify errors?'- why cant he specify what the errors are without some poor sod having to be drawn into a 1-1 with him.

Typical MP.

Full of shite.

Spero · 03/01/2014 12:38

Please do. But it will probably be very boooooring. I must remember to get some gaudy trouser suit a la Heather Mills to liven things up.

BoreOfWhabylon · 03/01/2014 12:39

Just want to thank MNHQ for letting these threads stand. I suspect JH may have tried his bluster on them too.

CarpeVinum · 03/01/2014 12:40

In a rage etc.
