HemmingGate: To ban or not to ban, that is the question MNHQ

Some of us would like to know if a certain politico will be banned, proper.

No rush.

We know you have a lot on your plate with ... stuff.

(I probably got two quotes mixed up in subject line. Don't panic! It's me not you. Am philistine. Italy is wasted on me. Not keen on art, prefer shopping.)

I wonder if there is a syndrome like shortman syndrome, but based on looking really rather repulsive....just looked at the BF article, and that combined with others lacks in that area....

CarpeVinum · 02/01/2014 13:18

beyond can link the flat earth news link from the sysnopsis in the comment to give a good break down of the diff. between the original story and what it looked like when facts emerged ?

aif you can (or anybody else if free) Post the link, you may have to remove the http//: from the link to post, but people can cut and paste the remains and google will find it for them.

Anyone got a nethuns account that they can post a link to it on? As he points out he is still giving his "advice" on there...

Mine was sadly banned after the OBE thread the other day Grin

CarpeVinum · 02/01/2014 14:22

I am banned from nethuns for meme crimes.

I can't go on netmums, there's something about moving emoticons and glitter that makes my brain slide out of my ears.

Just used my first hash tag. Very exciting.

AGnu · 02/01/2014 14:41

I went looking for the OBE thread on Netmums the other day. I felt queasy from all the pink & had to leave before I found it!

I don't have an account but maybe I could mess about with the screen colour settings on my computer & brave the sparkliness if necessary... I'm not very eloquent though so I'd need someone else to tell me what to post! Blush

Spero · 02/01/2014 14:43

Can someone start a general 'innocent' thread on net mums, linking to one of the newspaper articles and asking 'o what do you think of this then?' I did join ages ago but can't remember my log in. Would be better if someone with established posting history could do it.

I have just sent this email to the Information Commissioner and copied it to my local MP Duncan Hames who is Lib Dem. I want to know from Mr Hames what the Lib Dem party think of the actions of JH.

To whom it may concern.

I am sending this email because I believe that Mr John Hemming MP should be investigated for his misuse of confidential data.

Please see below a copy of the email I sent to Essex County Council on 15th December 2013.

I have also been assisted by the comments in this blog concerning data protection issues

I've just been followed by an IPO lawyer, with a massive following.

This is good right ? She followed me first.

Me. "Mrs. Followers in double digets only". And her with her tens of thousands.

CarpeVinum · 02/01/2014 14:51

YAY!!!! Happy to be part of this team Thanks

BeyondtheLimits

I don't think they will ever correct that mistake and for a reason.. People don't recall the 'correct' version but they are reminded of that case as "Child snatched from womb etc etc"

MadameDefarge · 02/01/2014 14:58

This incident WILL fade away, hopefully the ICO thing will work. But we need to monitor everything he says and does, and work on that. Its a long term strategy.

CarpeVinum · 02/01/2014 14:58

Hang on.. IPO lawyer in new york. She can't be interest in Hemming stuff surely ? Why follow me ?

Must be becuase of me following Tim Turner or something.

Oh well, was exciting for a minute.

Spero · 02/01/2014 14:59

Carpe, that is great, if someone with followers in the thousands follows you.

Spero · 02/01/2014 15:00

She might be interested! Due to internet confidentiality issues cross all kinds of boundaries. He might be in the stink in the US for more of his 'helping'.

LostInWales · 02/01/2014 15:00

Carpe that's brilliant! Plus you now have triple digit number of followers Grin

Spero · 02/01/2014 15:01

From what I understand, MNHQ have said they are suspending his account until HE gets in touch with THEM.

I have a horrible feeling he won't come back as he knows he will get very little purchase here now, there are simply too many of us who are on to him and his followers.

Therefore he is going to sow his horrible seeds on net mums more and more.

O god, I think I am going to have to dig out my log in details.

CarpeVinum · 02/01/2014 15:02

But we don't know yet what Munby/party whip are up to.

So I don't know if it will fade all that quick.

I know it feels like forever for us poor knackered crew, but for the rest of the world, they were short staffed and interurppted by Christmas/NY.

I think keep the pressure up, but bear in mind that there may be moves afoot that we know nothing about yet

I'll fall over with creamcrackered-itus if I don't hold onto the idea that TPTB are doing more than just filing all our stuff in the round bin.

OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 02/01/2014 15:04

I hope, so I am just striking a note of caution that we have to keep on trudging the lonely path even if sometimes our pleas fall on deaf ears.

IamtheZombie · 02/01/2014 15:05

Carpe, you have the Prime Minister following you???? Wow.

CarpeVinum · 02/01/2014 15:05

She might be interested! Due to internet confidentiality issues cross all kinds of boundaries. He might be in the stink in the US for more of his 'helping'.

Ohhh! I feel better then.

Spero

Oh And Murder has a lovely ticker you can borrow that she made earlier Grin

OP posts:
CarpeVinum · 02/01/2014 15:05

I do ?

Think he probably follows everybody. Seems the type.

OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 02/01/2014 15:06

maybe he fancies you??
