Following on from the news of the release of our shiny new Android app, we are vair pleased to announce the release of the new and improved iPhone and iPad app.

All of our Talk apps are free to download and you can find lots more info on all things mobile here including an easy to scan and download QR code to get the mobile version on your phone.

Please do take a look and come back and tell us what you think.

Meant to say I was using the android app.

Also, I wish it had the facility to namechange. I am a regular namechanger (due to stalking ex) and would love to be able to nc on the app. This is partly why I want to be able to log in with my email address because as a regular nc-er I can't always remember what my current nc is or how to spell it Blush

And, and, and the emoticon's eyebrows aren't defined enough so I have to peer and squint to see if people are sad or hmm-ing. Also the stupid purple box with an 'i' in it with a list of how to format stuff is in the way. I've had a bad week and now even MNet is being rubbish.

I hope you can follow this!

I've just namechanged on my laptop (from FeatherDown to a new NC) and then I posted something under the new NC. Then I went back onto the android app and it still had me logged in as FeatherDown, even after I moved around the screens so it was having to refresh. Using the App I went back to the thread that I had posted on using a new NC and my post was there but when I then went to settings menu on the app it still said I was logged in as FeatherDown.

So I think to namechange I will have to do it on the laptop, then next time I'm on my phone manually log out and log back in again with my new NC (if I can remember it Grin ) rather than just leaving it running in the background.

Might this cause some problems with creating dual identities?

Ok, so in order to see the latest post you have to scroll through hundreds or am I missing something?

I can't see the latest posts because after scrolling for a while, it crashes!

Any way to make this easier?

Where has most active gone on iphone? Please bring it back, its my favourite part.

Mine also crashes when scrolling through threads. Sad

Completely random order of threads appearing on mine. Not dated or by size, just random. The sort filters need to be sorted

Well, it closes suddenly when you're in the middle of reading something and I would really love the normal MN smileys back. The sad face looks asleep and the grin looks evil. Other than that, it's quite good.

Looking again at the iPhone app, the part of the screen that actually scrolls when you are on a thread really is too small. I used the old app all the time, but I think this will really annoy me and put me off using it. Which is a shame because, initial glitches aside I do like it.

I still have no idea what half the emoticons are or what the green heart is for though.

skyblue press the + button in the top rhs and there is an option to flip the thread, making the most recent post the top post.

I'm not sure if this issue has been raised or not, I've tried looking back but can't see it in the posts I've read.

When I look at active topics and scroll down I see the same topics repeated as opposed to new ones. So my list goes
Thread 1
Thread 2
Thread 3
Thread 4
Thread 1
Thread 2

And so on. Confused

I'm on iPhone.

I'm on Android and can't find the original post? Is it right at the bottom? So if its got loads of posts I have to scroll through hundreds to see it? Could do with it being at the top.

Active shows the same sort of ten threads over and over, it's like a scooby do buffet.

App has crashed a few times.

I can't use the iphone app at all now for longer threads - it closes itself if I read more than a few posts. I've deleted and reinstalled 4 times.

Rather than an actual refresh button it would be useful if you could just pull down the screen to refresh on the iPhone app.

I'm having the same problem with the iPhone app since I upgraded it yesterday. It crashes all the time and I can't see one of my usual threads!
Also no direct link to topics anymore.
Much prefer the old one!
Why is it cashing though? Can anyone fix this?

I'm back on the mobile site now. I find it easier to use tbh. The colour schemes make everything easier to view here.

I'm finding it hard to navigate. eg. I read a thread in the active section, the thread is in the Christmas topic and I think 'I wonder what else is in the Christmas topic?' but I can't get to the Christmas board without going all the way back to the topics list and trying to find it. I want to be able to click on the 'Christmas' at the top of the screen when reading a thread and go to that board to see more threads within the same topic.

Sorry this is awful. It doesn't rotate properly. You can't use the zoom function that you can use on other iPad apps. Yet again it isn't a proper app and it crashes all the time.

The website is just so much better.
