Recently, there have been quite a fwe Beyond The Pale comments posted very late a night.

Could you advise us on how best to deal with them?

We obviously report en mass, but atm they seem to stand for several hours and obviously can cause serious offence to posters.

Is there a way of dealing with this more expeditiously so these posts are seen by fewer people?

Hello
Thanks for this - as Rebecca and Kat said we do have folk who are around overseas on different time zones and we do understand how hideous these posts are to see.
We will see what else we can do though to ensure that these are nixed asap.
Thanks
M Towers

you do relise she's angling for a paid job don't you? and she only want's to be in charge of the big red button at silly-o-clock.

DameHermionesEasterKITTEN · 05/04/2012 22:49

want's? want's???? where did that ' come from?

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/04/2012 22:51

Could there be some sort of reports per minute counter which then activiates stronger klaxon to MNHQ to jump the the BatCar and whup asses all across the boards?

Do you still want us to report at 2.39am?

I'm glad this has been raised. And thanks, Olivia.

This was one of the reasons I posted silly replies to a troll the other night as I was trying to draw their fire so to speak. There were some horrific things being said to people who sounded very vunerable

LoopyLoopsIsTentativelyBack · 05/04/2012 22:55

Yes, was going to post similar.

What happens in the wee small hours? Is that when the real nutters emerge?

Perhaps if there were more than a certain a,ount of seperate reports on a post then it could be put into limbo until it is dealt with. Noone being able to read it while it is in limbo. That way no human is needed straight away

BertieBotts · 05/04/2012 23:07

Hmm, I always assumed there was some kind of alarm which is raised if a large number of reports are made after hours - I remember one horrendous comment made once in the early hours of the morning and it was gone within half an hour. Perhaps lucky coincidence that someone from MNHQ happened to be online?

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/04/2012 23:07
