Just seen a couple of posts deleted with "message deleted for breaching our talk guidelines. Answers may be deleted"

That's new

What are the other reasons you have on your drop down list?

"message deleted for posting rape myths" would be good.

"post deleted for personal insults"

"post deleted for revealing HelenMNHQ'S gin habit" ?
;)

at last option. Sshhh, that's a secret.

But yes, tis new. Idea is to remind people of our Talk Guidelines - we've had a few cases where people really had no idea we had any guidelines at all.

You could have board specific ones

"post deleted for linking to fugly dress" for s&b.

"post deleted for not understanding thermal layers" on outdoorsy shite the great outdoors.

@BeerTricksPott3r

Don't like it

Does it mean 'Replies' as in including the original breach of talk Guidelines or that if 2 (or more) posters are arguing vociferously the argument won't be allowed to stand?

No it means if someone breaks the Guidelines by, for example, making a personal attack, and then someone else quotes the personal attack in their subsequent post, we might end up deleting both posts.

Oh heavens, no: I'd have to delete myself on an hourly basis if we had those

MN if you are going to delete a message have the courtesy to let a poster know exactly why ?

Still waiting for a response as to why you deleted my post on this thread post at 26th March 15.03.11

There was nothing in that post that contravened any guidelines - if there was please explain fully or put the post back up .

Many thanks
