Well. This all went rather tits up, didn't it

ChristmasFuckers · 21/12/2011 20:15

I think it was more than £110 . first poster offered 20 straight away and there was many, many more

OP posts:
AwayinaKayzr · 21/12/2011 20:16

The food shopping didn't have to be over £25, Tesco will let you do an order for any amount. I know as I ordered 1 tub of Ben and Jerrys the other week.

scottishmummy · 21/12/2011 20:16

point being she didn't stop when adequate for meal and wine, say £50
kept all monies apparently

It is not unusual for two people to read the same thread and have completely different impression of it afterwards."

Which is why it isn't always a great idea to delete a thread, because now people have to rely on the memories of others for their 'facts'.

MJinSparklyStockings · 21/12/2011 20:17

No absolutely not troll hunting - I dont think I was the one who used the term sock puppet on this thread either before that comes up.

I was merely making an observation on the speed with which amory attacked my post.

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 21/12/2011 20:17

HarktheHelenMumsnetAngelsSing

Thank you - for treating posters like the adults they are :)

If you want to donate time/money/toys/used mooncups that's up to you - if you don't, dont. If you do it, accept the poster may or may not be legit. We don't need 'rules' FGS.

ChristmasFuckers · 21/12/2011 20:17

Yes but I dont think someone would buy things for £5 and pay the delivery...

OP posts:
GypsyMoth · 21/12/2011 20:17

Really? Didn't know that about tescos!! No minimum spend.....

over30sdisco · 21/12/2011 20:18

northen you are making up your own assumptions as to why people posted their concerns onto the original thread, which really isn't helping people understand why some of us did worry on the thread.

think we should draw a line under this now. surely

AwayinaKayzr · 21/12/2011 20:18

No probably not unless you are me and pregnant and picky and small co-op doesn't do the particular B&Js Xmas Grin

GwendolineMaryLacedwithBrandy · 21/12/2011 20:20

I think it was more than £110 . first poster offered 20 straight away and there was many, many more

But you don't know that the subsequent offers were accepted or sent, do you? And that's where this argument falls down. All of it was done via pm so the only person who knows how much was given is the OP. Anything else is pure speculation.

scottishmummy · 21/12/2011 20:20

it's a typical mn Xmas
a fight
a baddie
a boo hoo
and lots of recriminations and half truths

Saltire - I am flat broke at the moment, but will willingly dig over a patch in my garden to hide a certain body Grin

GypsyMoth · 21/12/2011 20:22

Op said it was £110. So can only go by that

Northernlurker · 21/12/2011 20:22

Exactly GML - and that speculation is being used to beat the OP with.

Oh no has there been another witch hunt troll hunt? I'm so heartily sick of people being picked apart because some posters take it upon themselves to decide that they are up to no good.

Most people post looking for advice and support. Most people respond offering advice and support. The vast majority of posters mean well. I've seen individuals singled out for quite vicious attacks and they're not always the op of the thread. They often use the excuse of helping others to make horrible, belittling comments and it makes me sick. I have been physically sick from the way I have been attacked on a thread and I'm a regular.

Some people hide behind namechanging. I think I'd like to see it restricted.

To those that would hound another poster whilst piously crying it's for everyone's benefit I say to you: Stop it. Please. You don't know what situation that poster is in; sickness, bereavement, ill children, money worries etc are not uncommon. Yes be straight talking but also be gentle. Your unkind words do hurt and it is bullying. Just think.

TSC - you are absolutely making that figure up. Most people didn't say how much they could give and there weren't that many posts before you and others turned up bitching. The OP has said how much was given - and yet you persist in disbelieving her. Tell me again what exactly this had to do with you in the first place? Except as an opportunity to be unpleasant - because honestly that's all I can see in your posting.

Get0rf · 21/12/2011 20:27

Blimey!

Have a happy mumsnet christmas Grin
