Working even slower than my brain.

Creeping along at a snails pace here. Although i'm on an 8 year old laptop so everythings always slow...

I was just thinking how fast it was - we've just had our broadband connection upgraded at school - we used to have a share of the secondary school's 10Mb connection, now we share their 100Mb - we've been getting speeds of 88mb. It's going to seem very slow at home when I get back!

I thought it was just me.

I gave up this morning and came back this afternoon hoping it was fixed - sadly not. Tis very annoying.

It isnt just a bit slow - I'm having to wait minutes for pages to load now. Getting to the point of being unusable.

Interesting! Just installed adblocker tonight (after reading about it on MN McDonalds thread!) and wondered if that was slowing it down!

I'm on Google Chrome

I found it went slow about 1/2 an hour ago or so. Now it's ok. Seemed to be waiting for ads1.mumsnet.com though hard to tell what in reality it was waiting for - though suspect an ad may have been being served slowly but could not work out which one.

One thing I've spotted is that Chrome Developer Tool is picking up:

even worse this morning.......pages seem to just hang for seems like an hour or so a few minutes before loading

Argghh was gonna start a thread on this myself till I found this. This site is so slow its practically un usable its taking minutes for pages to load, what's going on?

I'm having problems as well. There seems to be a delay when loading pages - at the bottom it says 'waiting for ads1.mumsnet.com'
Other sites (eg facebook) are fine.

mines slow too, using ie8. Not running ad blocker or anything like that, every other site is working fine. Not that I regularly go elsewhere you understand
