Web page warnings

We are aware that some people are receiving warnings when trying to open certain pages on Mumsnet. This is related to a problem with one of the ads that we serve on some of our pages. Whilst we investigate further we've stopped serving any ads. As such, all pages on the site are safe to visit. Once the problem is resolved the ads will return in all their glory and we will request to be removed from the blacklist which drives these warnings.

Apologies for any inconvenience or scaring anyone!

Sidge, there's nothing MN can do about it though...it's down to Google to 'revisit' the pages now

yes me too.. getting a tad annoyed, I can access this thread, no warnings, but had to risk the red WARNING to post on another... what the heck is that all about?

Ruprekt, Tech might as well just sit about and eat mince pies...there's nothing he/MNHQ can do about it...it's waiting for Google to revisit the page now

I'm sure it's not connected but just to warn you - I had those messages flash up yesterday, then today had a fake Hard Drive warning on my computer today which is apparently some sort of virus that gets in via a trojan.

Anyone else had this?

I've done a full virus scan and a full Spybot one - all clear, but I'm going to check my system setting now. Thanks for the warning.

Blame Google and that website for their ability to let this automatically happen without human intervention.

I think the safest thing to do might be to NOT use mumsnet at all until this is fixed.

They should be updating us, and answering questions.

My ebay account was hacked after a similar thing happened years ago when I was using Netmums, so I am very concerned.

I also had an update request from Adobe, and will run a full scan.
