Looks like someone has found the posts regarding under-13s using FaceBook and decided to report

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/1109156

to the StopBadware.org service. Although the idea is not a bad one, the service is used by Google to 'alert' (like 'scare the hell') people that a site may infect their PC, and does its utmost to stop the user from visiting.

Happened also to a client of mine (photographer with his own site) and lost him some visitors and potential work.

Well I've not seen where daftpunk was accused of causing this, but I hope those saying it are now apologising and promising not to jump to conclusions in future.

FlightoftheCrimbleTree · 22/12/2010 10:09

Nobody was accused of anything Onagar.

Leonie, it's hard to ignore when it's on every single thread you click on and you are an AIBU junkie .

It's happening on Safari now. Tres annoying.

backwardpossum - try another browser if you have one installed.

Actually, Leonie, not all pages will "carry on". On one of those blocks I found I could not get past it, and had to switch to a different browser.

OP posts:
theyoungvisiter · 22/12/2010 11:13

"its easy, you click the link that lets you carry on despite the warning, and carry on!"

Yes but Leonie sometimes it doesn't let you past, and you have to click it EVERY TIME you post, every time you change thread, and every time you refresh. It's getting extremely annoying.

I did thanks, NetworkGuy but it's now doing it on every browser I have. I've turned off all warnings on FF for now just so I can browse (how sad, I know).

TrillianAstra · 22/12/2010 12:24

Yes, lots of the pages you click on the 'I don't care' button and it doesn't tak eyou through.

Top of Firefox: Tools-> Options-> Security, uncheck 'block reported attack sites' will do it for now, just don't go anywhere dodgy in the meantime.

gorionine · 22/12/2010 14:09

This is now the only thread on my "threads I am on " I can access!

All the others that worked fine this morning aren't anymoreConfused

RespectTheDoughnut · 22/12/2010 14:10

Ah, I was just coming here to report this. It's only just started for me - I was reading my watched threads & then suddenly BOOM. It's very patronising.

I've been clicking on "ignore" but I just tried to post a reply, and it ignored the ignore button!

(Wonder if this will post?)

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 22/12/2010 16:06

Yay, it did! But not in AIBU. :(

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 22/12/2010 16:19

However, the posted reply on AIBU is there.

annh · 22/12/2010 16:48

Aargh! What is happening with this? I got several pages blocked this morning which I didn't dare click past. This afternoon, I have had a page blocked in Education so I clicked past and my machine froze (Mac). After a minor heart attack and wondering how I was going to explain to my husband what had happened, the tried and trusted (and very technical) solution of turning the machine off and on again worked but I am not using Mumsnet any more until this gets sorted, I'm afraid.
