Morning all. Dd did not wake up until 7.30am this morning so I was awake but relaxing in bed waiting for her .

I've given in and put on a pair of maternity trousers this morning as everything else was digging in I'm only 14 and a half weeks! Last time I wore my normal jeans to my 20week scan. I've got rather a large bottom and a very small waist in comparison so am used to all my clothes being huge on the waist so now being tight is yuk.

I bought two pairs of maternity jeans in the sale yesterday, they didn't have any 12long so bought 14 - sure I'll grow into them .

maxybrown · 12/07/2009 09:32

Nicola, I think by law they are meant to be 4 before leaving a car seat aren't they? But in saying that, 2 of my neighbours children should be on boosters (LO is 5 at the most) and NONE of them even wear seat belts let alone anything else oh apparently it's 40lbs for booster seat. Funny when I think back to when we were younger and all piling in the back of a van with just cushions

Carrielou I left you a message on pushchair for sale

carrielou2007 · 12/07/2009 09:40

Maxy and Nicola you have mail

pebbles79 · 12/07/2009 09:44

Carrie second pregnancy always worse, lol! Check out this pic, the one of the left is me full term (overdue infact) with DS1 and the one on the right I'm 20 weeks with DS2 - I think I'm about the same size and DS1 was actually the bigger baby by over a lb!!

I know nothing about carseats Nic as I don't drive - Zoey has only ever been in a car seat on the way home from hospital!

I'm off to X-Factor today but have woken up to a miserable morning which means possible queueing in the rain .

maxybrown · 12/07/2009 09:53

thanks carrielou, have replied

ooh pebbles!! I knew I was right to just have one!! I dread to think what I would like, still battling now!!

carrielou2007 · 12/07/2009 10:04

Pebbles!! Are you auditioning and what are you doing?? (nosy)

I got super slim after having dd as combination of tons of walking and bf such a big baby meant when we went on holiday when she was 10 weeks I wore a size 10 bikini. Back to a 12 when I finished feeding though. Tummy though flat was never the same though . At my age no-one would look at me in a bikini now anyway so don't care for next summer (sobs into a bag of hula hoops which won't help)

pebbles79 · 12/07/2009 10:09

I'm not auditioning, lol - they're doing the auditions in front of a live audience this year so that's why I'm going .

I lost weight after all my 3 very easily and was a size 10 in less than a fortnight with 1 and 3 although took me about 3 weeks with DS2. It's keeping it off I can't manage , a size 14 just now.

maxybrown · 12/07/2009 10:11

stop showing off carrielou!! I was fine through pregnancy, seemed to put most of my weight on after a few months of breastfeeding I am struggling to do any decent walking at min as have problem with my feet that I am waiting for hospital appt for, but after that there will be no stopping me!!! I hae to say months of breastfeedingg didn't help me I had an amzing appetite when BFing, terrible

carrielou2007 · 12/07/2009 10:19

I was the other way around, was like a ravenous thing when BF but was nice and slim. As soon as I stopped I put weight on very quickly where as my sis held onto the weight until she stopped then it fell off.

I keep seeing petite ladies with skinny jeans and neat bumps and then I look at me and I'm at the not-got-a-bump-yet-just-look-like-I-ate-all-the-pies stage .

Ah well prob won't have time to eat when I have 2 dc - nope, I can ALWAYS find time for food !!

sweetkitty · 12/07/2009 11:14

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/07/2009 16:40

Take it easy Nicola. You will have to try and get some rest before the wedding. Take every chance you can.
I just had a nap! Which I really needed. Off to see what I am supposed to be conjuring for dinner now.
The day has turned out not bad considering they were forecasting torrential rain.......
famous last words?
Tonight I need to pack up 2 ebay sales and organise a courier and list a few more things.
Still I won some doodles for 99p.

nicolamumof3 · 12/07/2009 16:46

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/07/2009 17:42

It's a bit of a milestone isn't it. No longer counted in months but years.

lal123 · 12/07/2009 18:41

newbie to this thread - so hello! We have started looking at travel systems/buggies for our LO due in October. I immediately thought of you all to give good advice! Looking for somehting pretty sturdy, but lightweight and compact when folded. Saw the Petite Star Kurvi today - anyone know anything about it or got any other suggestions?

For DD1 we had a mamas and papas thing - which was good, but far too heavy and big!

thanks for your help!!!

nicolamumof3 · 12/07/2009 19:38

lal have no experience of travel systems im afraid as i don't drive, must say i favour a proper carrycot for the early months and baby flat on back.

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 12/07/2009 20:12

lal123 both the BCJM and Maclaren XLR can use carrrycots and are pretty light/compact when folded. Saying that I've never folded them with a carrycot.

lecohen · 12/07/2009 20:35

Hi all,

Has anyone had any dealings with brightandshiny? Anyone know her real name? I think she is the person I bought Bug rods and clamps from on ebay - Sold as Cam ones but really Frog ones...really annoyed about it!

I found this thread where she describes what she has:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pushchairs/784656-Bugaboo-Cameleon-07-DENIM-2008-chassis-unregistered-warrenty- loads-of

And the seller feedback shows the sale of the Bug Cam she is describing with exactly the same spec.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance x

P.S. Not trying to start anything but hate being lumbered with things I didn't want or intend to buy

lecohen · 12/07/2009 20:36

and in that thread, she states she has BOTH sets of rods as well

5inthebed · 12/07/2009 21:02

Sorry Lecohen, never dealt with her before.

Lal, the Bugaboo Bee takes a maxi cosy car seat, but not sure on your budget?

Mutsy comes tomorrow
