Is that one of the bike things? I looked at those but didnt know if they would fit.

NormaSknockers · 11/07/2009 19:25

It is yes, I just have to undo one of the popers on the side & it fits on perfectly.

JigglyPiggy · 11/07/2009 19:33

norma they do the black bjcm in boots and you can use paypal and theres 10% off using paypal at boots. Think its down to £158 at the moment plus extra points for the advantage card

MamaG · 11/07/2009 19:40

Flyme you rock!

buggylovinmummy · 11/07/2009 19:43

Oh my god, I've only read the first page of this thread and already I've realised there is so much I don't know about pushchairs!! I have a 7 month old DS and got a Britax Visio before he was born - a travel system type thing. I was certain this would be all I would need until he was out of a pushchair or until a number 2 came along....but recently I have started to get pram envy of all the lovely light-looking strollers I'm seeing everywhere and I'm getting sick of my bulky, heavy thing that only fits in my boot if I fold the back seats down. Plus it takes up loads of room in my hallway. So now I want another one! I can see from just one page of this thread that you ladies are experts so I am hoping you will be able to give me some good advice. I want something light, that folds easily and fits in the boot of a small car. I quite like the idea of a parent facing pushchair, but that's not essential. Also, as we are going on holiday soon, I'd like something that is portable and would give good sun protection...........not asking much, am I? I've heard loads about the City Mini thingy, I heard on my postnatal thread that they were on offer at Kiddicare, but looks like they've all gone. So, is the City Mini the way to go, or should I be considering something else. All advice welcome! Thanks

BexieID · 11/07/2009 20:34

Dis, I need to sit down and speak to MIL as not sure if this buggy is for Tom or the baby, lol. I am watching a MB on ebay atm, not sure whether to bid on it or not. Did you still want the XT?

nicolamumof3 · 11/07/2009 20:41

Do you drive more than you walk?

i have no experience of the BJCM as it has never really appealed, the hood however does look fab for sunny summer (when it returns!)

i love my maclarens, a rear facing maclaren would be perfect!

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/07/2009 20:43

juanitad you could go for a Maclaren XT as they are light and have a good hood which can unzip to come right over DC as a sunshade.
They don't face you though.
If funds are not a problem a bugoboo bee would fit all of your criteria-rear or front facing, light, small fold, can get a good sunshade.
Second hand cheaper obviously.
Many love the City Mini as you will have read. I don't have one though.

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/07/2009 20:44

Rear facing Maclaren Sigh!
Start a petition.

BexieID · 11/07/2009 20:47

Got outbid on MB here, went for £151.50 (would rather pay the extra for Lisas plum one!). Would have paid no post as thats where i'm from .

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 11/07/2009 20:57

There is a red buggy snuggle with white stars on it on ebay

cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Buggy-Snuggle-Red-with-white-stars_W0QQitemZ160348043820QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK BabyPushchairAccessoriespartsET?hash=item25557cfa2c&trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66 %3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1688%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/07/2009 21:01

Just emailed Maclaren to say they should do a a rear facer.

As long as it's not a silly price! I think Macs are far too expensive now.

juanitad · 11/07/2009 21:13

Just googled the Bugaboo Bee and it looks gorgeous, exactly the kind of thing I was thinking of.....except the price tag that is!! I just don't think I could justify that amount of money! nicola, up to now I've been walking a lot, but my maternity leave is over as of tomorrow (boo hoo!), so I imagine I'll be driving more than I'll be walking.

juanitad · 11/07/2009 21:17

Does anybody have any experience of the Lebruss Take Off (think that's what it's called)? It's the one that was on the Apprentice and I remember thinking it looked fab!

nicolamumof3 · 11/07/2009 21:31

if not walking long distances then i'd go for a BJCM or maclaren then.

Dunoon, maclaren will prob refer to the 'grand tour' that is coming out

NormaSknockers · 11/07/2009 21:31

Jiggly thanks for that, I had checked Boots out earlier & they were all out of stock Not to worry, I've transferred my PP balance onto my PP card so will be on there by tomorrow/Mon so can order then

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/07/2009 21:33

Grand Tour was horrible if I remember rightly.
Tempted by Dis's Frog. Never tried a bugaboo yet.

pebbles79 · 11/07/2009 21:39

I didn't like the look of the Grand Tour at all - thought it looked really Graco-ish!!
