Libra, not tried a Zia, seem to have mixed reports.
You can get reworked ones here for £60 if that helps.

nicolamumof3 · 02/07/2009 08:57

flyme i can but just on way out must it be this morning?

FlyMeToDunoon · 02/07/2009 08:59

Disenchanted3 · 02/07/2009 09:10

INFINITY IS HERE

OMG, it needed a clean, lol.

Remember what I said to Lecohen about footmuffs covering dirty seats?? ... oh yes....

it's not dirty as in mouldy, holey or knackered,

just food all down the edges

But it is in seriouslt fab condition,

the front wheels aren't turning well but i think it needs some oil and love to get them going again, lol.

But I do love it

i LOVE THE HEART BREAKER COLOURS TOO

Always thought id hate it.

right so footmuff &covers in the wash and going to take carrycot out to scrub now but I'm positive its going to be gorgeous

5inthebed · 02/07/2009 09:12

Eww Dis. I hate it when people don't clean prams up when they sell them. I can't understand it myself. I try clean my prams up as best I can before sending them. I'd be so embarrassed if someone got a pram off me and thought it dirty.

Glad you like it. You keeping the Bee, or undecided?

Last night we went to Mothercare and I saw the Vibe.... ahhh twas beautiful, DH said if I could get one of those ball and cup things (the ones children play with that hav a ball on some string and you have to get the ball to land in the cup) to work in one go he'd buy it there and then.... I failed!!! sob sob sob got it in 3 but he wasn't moving I mean I seriously doubt he would have bought it right then anyway but it would have been soooo good to see the horror on his face Now I really do want it badly

5inthebed · 02/07/2009 09:17

How mean of your DH! I'd have broke down sobbing on the floor

I have lost the hearing in one ear. Hate it when this happens! Keep going to the docs telling them I need grommits as it happens every time I get the smallest amount of water in it, and they just laugh at me and tell me I'm too old for grommits

OP posts:
maxybrown · 02/07/2009 09:21

How do they get so dirty anyway?? That's what I don't get? Gald it seems ok though.

Can I just ask you nursery run people (this is a school nursery BTW not private)....I went up register Ds for school yesterday and because he is a September birthday, they said he can start the following January instead of waiting until the september again....yippeee!! Which means he will get a nursery place in 18 months. Will he then stay in Nursery until he is almost 5 or will he go into reception a bit earlier too?? Although I am a teaching assistant normally I have worked in schools that don't have nurserys or that only do the one september intake so not sure how it works otherwise??! V excited he gets to go in the January though

Disenchanted3 · 02/07/2009 09:22

Awww scatty,

Wheels are sorted, just needed oil

Just going to get half-removed stickers off the frame.

OMG!!! BTW... was in my bedroom getting dressed and heard a van pull up, was waiting for infinity so goes to window opens curtain to see PF delivery guy looking straight up .... I closed the curtains soooo fast!!

I only had my bra on and pants on!!!!

I got DH to answer the door! pmsl!!

scattykatty · 02/07/2009 09:27

I think I may have let out quite a big scream when the first one didn't go in He has PROMISED me that if we have another child I can get the package from Kiddicare, though he did suggest that we could get sell my Cameleon as we wouldn't need it, I'm pretty sure I just laughed at that (I'd rather sell a kidney)

Ear infection sounds horrid, my sis used to get them all the time as a child, have you tried olive oil? She used to put it in the ear, tilt the head obviously and wait a few mins and then turn back and it would all come out and she would be able to hear again. Works I swear, but only use extra virgin olive oil not vegetable oil or anything!

maxybrown · 02/07/2009 09:37

Oh and has anyone got experience of a nipabout?

carrielou2007 · 02/07/2009 09:43

Morning all. Sunny here though due for heavy rain and thunder storms later so have put my pack-a-mack under the buggy (I look soooo attractive in it!!)

I'm fine thanks Lillypie, strugling to find work stuff to wear in this heat that does not dig in around the middle. I didn't wear maternity clothes until after my 20 week scan last time. Tried on mat trousers last night and they just fell down so not sure what to do!!

He got a nice eyeful then Dis, was it a nice lacy number??

5inthebed that's rubbish about grommits, I see plenty of 50 year olds with them!! You will only have them for specific type of loss and degree though. When were you last tested, can you give me a copy of your audiogram and I can have a ponder??

claret1980 · 02/07/2009 09:49

Got back from the school run. It is really hot out there aready. Had to give ds1 a drink with ice in!

Got to take ds2 to get weighed soon so I better get my bum into gear and get some breakfast done for me.

Pulse was so nice to push. The Ziko has 3 days left to run, hopefully it will go before then. Near bought a Zapp off ebay, it was the £17 postage that put me off!

JigglyPiggy · 02/07/2009 09:52

maxy - i'm still thinking on the urban chassis, its been complicated further by the fact that my streety car seat does'nt fit the bugaboo adaptors that ive just purchased

I dont no whether im just not that fussy but I quite like the zia and im 5'8" Was even going to sell my zapp and keep the zia or do you think i will regret it?

Dis- the infinity sounds lovely and for that price its fab. Hope PF give you a good discount if thats how your gonna greet their drivers

5inthebed · 02/07/2009 09:54

You flasher Dis!

Carrie, never had one. My doctors surgery is shocking, they treat everything with antib's and won't refer you to the hospital for anything.

Scatty, ear all oiled up already. Hoping it works!

£17 postage for a Zapp! Thats crazy talk.

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 02/07/2009 09:54

Carrie what size are you??

I have a TONNE of maternity clothes Im done with, really nice bits some of it from Lardoute

Don't want much for them, some dark denim skinny jeans and summer tops.

maxybrown · 02/07/2009 09:55

No worries at all I just thought the zia too flimsy, always felt it was going to snap in half!! Dh is about 5 10 and struggled with it, pushed it with his fingertips!! But he has HUGE feet and that is always more of an issue with pushchair height as he trips over them otherwise ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

carrielou2007 · 02/07/2009 10:00

5inthebed you need to have a test and with what you are describing you need two readings (NHS standard only ever test one).

Headphones/inserts to test then a bone conduction. If the result are above 20db hl you are in normal result. If there is a diff of 20/25db between ac and bc readings then you have a conductive loss. Thing is, if ou have an infection you can't have a test until it's cleared.

Go to any high street opticians they ususally have hearing centres that wills screen test you for free - Boots are good.

Yes please Dis I am 12/14, summer tops in need and work suits!

pebbles79 · 02/07/2009 10:08

I really can't understand why someone would send a dirty Infinity!! All the covers go into the washing machine so there's really no excuse!

claret1980 · 02/07/2009 10:10

The local pick up Zapp is back on ebay. Said on listing "needs break top fixing but cosmetic". Do you think that this is possible?

JigglyPiggy · 02/07/2009 10:10

I've got to get a pushchair and carrycot packed up to send and wondered do you end up having to send it as two parcels or can you get away with it as one package? Don't think I would find a box big enough but was going to use bubble wrap and wrap it in some larger boxes taken apart with lots of tape - will this do the job?

Disenchanted3 · 02/07/2009 10:15

Jiggly,

My infinity just came, seat, chassis and carrycot, all taped up together!

it was fine.

5inthebed · 02/07/2009 10:16

Jiggly, have you tried calling your local mothercare/pram shop, see if they have any big pram boxes? Otherwise bubble wrap and boxes sound good.

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 02/07/2009 10:23

Hmmm, infinity may not have been so much of a bargain as no rain covers for pram or carrycot, only just realised. Seller has confirmed this.

So will ha to but one ar about £16 too.

JigglyPiggy · 02/07/2009 10:26

Im too far out from the pram shops/mothercare to go and collect a box especially with two LO's in tow! Plus I'd only see something else to 'play' with while im in there!!

Right bubble wrap, boxes and tape it is then!

Also, am I mad to think about a new car seat just so I can keep the frog and possibly bee? Not sure what to do as im now anxious about going to the baby groups with either in case they get nicked!

Whats everyones thoughts on second hand car seats?
