Well, I have just been to get my Mutsy. Now then, what I don't understnad is, how can someone be immaculately dresses, there house gorgeous and immaculate the their pushchairs are scabby???!!!

Now then, it was mega cheap and I will clean it, but I just don't get it???!!

As a pram just for rear facing it's fab though. Chassis is great raincover is new but she couldn't find the bumper bar...wtf?

Anyway, I part walked home then had to get bus cos it was BOILING and I walked up a long long hill. Couldn't hardly manouver it on the bus then felt like telling everyone if it looked scabby it wasn't my fault lol.

Now, did someone say they had used mild milton solution on mould bits? It is just bits on the inside of the hood. have scrubbed it in the bath with vanish and already looks better but any solution ideas welcome please! Talk me through it though as i am not very au fait with Milton! Think i will see if a cheap seat and hood comes up one day for spare covers and maybe fun seat

nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 20:00

5in i think Maclaren was after a comfort pack?

maxy hows cheap/cheap? under £50?

try dettol mould and mildew remover its in a spray green bottle.

5inthebed · 13/06/2009 20:02

Eww Maxi, mouldy pram! I can't understand how anyone could let any pram get manky. It'sjust not right pushing your LO around in a minging pram. I once saw a Luna parked in Tescos, in pink, with awful dirty water marks all over the seat and hood. Surely it isn't hygenic pushing a child around in that?

LOL at wanting to tell people it wasn't your fault the pram was dirty. Hope it cleans up ok for you.

Nicola, you going to be around on MSN later?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 20:04

im on msn NOW!!

i don't know how people do it either its disgusting and so unnecessary. i feel like telling people to wash their prams when i see them in that state!

maxybrown · 13/06/2009 20:09

I know I am gobsmacked. There house was lovely....much tidier than mine but then at least my stuff is always immaculate.

Yes it was 40 squids so cheap! I saw a pram in tesco the other day too and it was so disgusting i couldn't stop looking at it...how on earth??

The footmuff is grubby but will def wash, not that bad considering, so it is just the hood really. I reckon they've kept it in shed.

Nic, I know the mould stuff you mean, but don't ewant it to bleach the black outer hood....what you think? Found an old post someone saying 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water...might try that! Hood fabric doesn't come off frame so it is fun and games!

maxybrown · 13/06/2009 20:10

sorry for all the typo errors....dreadful

nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 20:12

i know a few people who have used that stuff on prams succesfully just test on a bit of inconspicuos fabric first under the seat or something.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2009 20:35

Ooh maxy bargain if it comes up nice!

nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 20:39

how you getting on with jane dunoon?

i can't wait for my maclaren to come, planning on using it everyday

5inthebed · 13/06/2009 21:08

You need to try a bjcm Nicola as well.

How long til it comes?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 21:24

well said two weeks but dis seems to think they will be quicker. catalogue says direct from supplier. fingers crossed sometime next week.

5inthebed · 13/06/2009 21:31

I ordered Dan's bed from the Additions catalogue and they said it would take 4 weeks direct from supplier, and it came within a week.

He loves his new bed, its a mid sleeper with a tent underneath and a tunnel on top. Its fab!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 21:46

that does sound fab. Tates going into toms old single bed after the wedding and luka will go in tates little junior bed.

maxybrown · 13/06/2009 21:49

Hmmm....I am just scared of bleaching it. The fabric under pushchair is very very different though to inside hood.

Anyway, I had scrubbed with brush and vanish and it was nicely hanging on the line with Nipper outside and loads of other bits....and down came the rain! Blimey, you should have seen us move! I actually had to remind myself as I wiped the prams down, that they CAN go out in the rain

I can still see some specks, but not bad for first scrub and just bit vanish and cold water. Reluctant to try the vinegar thing as it'll stink!!

Whatever, it looks a darn sight better than when it arrived! DH was zooming all over the garden with it. He wasn't the slightest bit bothered I had got another one think he's always fancied a go of it secretly too, what with the weird steering!!

maxybrown · 13/06/2009 21:50

Oh nicola,, my xlr came from additions and said that but came about a week earlier than stated.

nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 21:56

oooh goody, did you use that £30 code for your xlr? i want to see some rl pics of yours, but then again it would only tempt me! i fancied the quest in that colourway.

nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 21:57

right im off to my beddy byes, got busy day tomorrow taking boys to carnival which is on whilst luka usually has afternoon nap so could all go v.pear shaped but we will see!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2009 21:58

Nicola Jane Energy is ok. It's a fairly ordinary pushchair. I need to oil the wheels though.

Do I need to worry about the Infinity chassis's wheels Pebbles do you think?

maxybrown · 13/06/2009 21:58

I had diff order code but yes 330 off I will do some pics. I think the quest looked nice in that colour too. Someone on ebay said they would sell me their seat unit and hood for mutsy for £30 plus post....

nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2009 21:59

i like the mutsy in college green mmmmh! what chassis have you got?

pebbles79 · 13/06/2009 22:24

I'd question them about the wheels and see if they've come off something else.

abermum · 13/06/2009 22:25

the infinity chasis is one of the very early models- they did used to come with wheels like that for a short while- my rockstar edition had them- but many moons ago! possibly better than the spokes as they won't warp!

nicolamumof3 · 14/06/2009 08:35

morning all!

nice warm day here, been up ages already just going to go out do the recycling and take boys for walk. then home for lunch before the carnival. and lots of washing to do in between!

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/06/2009 08:49

Morning!
Yes up here, breakfasted and just sorting out ebay bits and bobs.

So sorry to harp on but if the infinity chassis is in otherwise good nick it needn't be something to cancel my [massive 99p] bid over?
Seller has replied that her daughter bought it last year and those are the wheels it came with. Also added that if I was bothered I could cancel my bid

pebbles79 · 14/06/2009 08:57

You'd maybe be better to just pick up a cheap used Infinity as they sometimes go for around £50 or £60. By the time you pay for courier of the chassis and seat unit and then buy fabrics you might be paying out the same amount of money?

What about the I'coo Targo? They're not as well known and don't seem to sell for much either and they're lovely.
