BRITAX VIGOUR 3 SALE ON BOOTS.COM does anyone know if the wheels are air. I am still trying to come up with the funds for the bjce but struggling and hubby not happy at the amount of money spent lately on pushchairs and access. I like the sound of the big wheels but never had air tyres and wonder if i would get on with them. Don't know if anyone has bought the offer from boots but it seesm such a good offer. My bjcm is great but still not the walking pushchair i had in mind. Any suggestions?

buggylovinmummy · 15/06/2009 12:52

basl if you decide to sell your bjcm can u let me know as i really want one. I was going to buy a new one but had loads to pay out so am looking for a second hand one now.

nicolamumof3 · 15/06/2009 13:06

i don't think it does have air tyres basl? i love air tyres such a difference, so easy to push and comfier for child esp off road.

thats why i sold my luna so i could get nipper and back to air tyres. luka's been so much better the past week in nipper too.

pebbles79 · 15/06/2009 13:13

basl is it for a boy or girl? PLO have the Baby Jogger City Classic in pink for a good price.

basl · 15/06/2009 13:15

buggylovinmummy My bjcm is the green/grey colourway and i am just waiting on a custom fit extra padded liner in a lovely dinasaur fabric and matching stay put blanket. I really do love it but i walk all the time and where i live the paths are sooo bumpy. I have not had it for long as you will see from my posts and can't believe i am going to consider selling it. I had considered selling on ebay as this colour does not come up often and i think with the new access it should sell well. Does this interest you still?? The fabric is on kids fabric.co.uk and just search dinasaur. It is such a shame i went to all that bother but i so want the bjce although still not sure about air tyres.NORMA I have not heard from you for a while but wonder (yet another question) How have you found the air tyres on the elite?

abermum · 15/06/2009 13:18

got my quicksmart!! am loving it so far! will upload a piccy later- dd seems happy enough in it and it folds very small- perfect fit for my (non-existant) boot! and lighter than the zapp!

basl · 15/06/2009 13:18

I have a little boy and i love that pink classic such a shame. I am so scared to make yet another bad purchase. My husband thinks i have some disorder and i really have become obsessed by this bjce and hope it is everything i hope!!

lastboxoftampons · 15/06/2009 13:23

Sorry to jump in here, but basl had a look at the Boots offer - I think the 2007 model (the one that's £122) is the one with air tyres - the 2009 model has foam tyres. Apparently a lot of pushchairs are moving towards the foam because it still offers the smoothness of air tyres but without the risk of punctures. HTH!

basl · 15/06/2009 13:26

Thanks for that, i did suspect that. I think that is why it is on offer. I have also just read that it would not really suit my very long 11 month old for long. That is why i like the sound of the bjce. I love the look of so many but just don't seem to match up to the features of the elite.

buggylovinmummy · 15/06/2009 13:28

basl yes i may still be interested how much would you be wanting for it? Would you sell it without the custom fit liner and blanket?

basl · 15/06/2009 13:40

Not sure?? I think it's a shame to be sold without the liner. I don't know if that would fit the elite and i don't think it would go. It matched the green/grey perfectly. I will have think about it and get back. Thanks

pebbles79 · 15/06/2009 13:43

I think Norma uses her liner that she had on the BJCM on her BJCE.

buggylovinmummy · 15/06/2009 13:43

Ok basl no problem

My ds would love the liner but not sure if the budget would stretch to afford that as well

basl · 15/06/2009 14:03

buggylovinmummy I could do the lot that is the BJCE the liner which is an extra padded one the matching blanket for £180 is that far too much. I really think it would be a shame to not sell together but again i still not sure.

basl · 15/06/2009 14:08

sorry that should have read bjcm not the elite I have that on the brain at the moment. The liner is not here yet but coming soon

buggylovinmummy · 15/06/2009 15:38

basl thats too much for me sorry. Seems like a good price with the liner and blanket but as im not really worried about having these i could get a new one for £160. If you change your mind about selling without them let me know {smile}

Also did you buy it from new and how old is it?

buggylovinmummy · 15/06/2009 15:42

That should be a Sorry not feeling well today

basl · 15/06/2009 16:07

Hiya, that's not a problem i understand . It is a lot. Yes i bought it new maybe two months now. I just don't know what i would do with the things i have ordered. Have you looked at ebay. There are two on sale just now starting at about £60.00 maybe better off with those. I will let you know if i sell on it's own. Hope you are feeling better soon.

buggylovinmummy · 15/06/2009 16:21

I am watching those on e-bay, i think yours would do quite well on there actually as if they have accessories they seem to go for good money.

5inthebed · 15/06/2009 16:37

Got the Gecko today. It is fab! Ds3 loves sitting in it, can't wait to take it out tomorrow! Can't believe Norma didn't like it. Oh well, it worked out well on my behalf .It's definitely a keeper!

BLM, I think I'll keep my BJCM though, sorry. The Gecko is more of a walking pram and can't imagine having to fold it down for a bus. Took me forever to unfold it, and dreading having to fold it

Tried downloading the manual from the Bug website, but for some reason it won't work.

Oh, and Carrie, I've posted the Mac footmuff to you today, should be with you tomorrow

buggylovinmummy · 15/06/2009 16:41

OK 5in no problem, no-one wants to sell them they are obviously too nice LOL

I,m watching a couple on e-bay at the moment so hopefully will get one of those as had to pay out for a few unexpected things so probably wont get a new one unless i wait about a month, decisions decisions

NormaSknockers · 15/06/2009 17:43

Basl I love my Elite even more for having air tyres as it makes the ride so much smoother, it literally glides along. Also the liner I had made for my BJCM also fits my BJCE & that is what is currently in it.

5in so pleased you like the Gecko, it's a lovely pram don't get me wrong but I love my Skate more

basl · 15/06/2009 17:52

Hiya norma, That sounds good. No problems then with air tyres, Have you had many punctures? How much is the going rate for selling on a bjcm only had a short while. I don't know if my liner etc will go with all black but i am trying to figure out if i could sell on the city mini without all the stuff i ordered. Thanks

5inthebed · 15/06/2009 18:00

basl If you sell on Ebay, you would get between £130-£160 without the stuf you bought for it, which is quite a good resale value pram wise.

Norma I am very surprised at how good of a condition the tyres are! They look brand new. Can't wait to get my basket and footmuff now. Might even buy a fancy liner for it. I still want a parasol for it, as the hood won't cover ds3 that well, and he will need covered. Although, I'm not a fan of parasols . DH came in from work, took one look at the pram and just rolled his eyes. Think he has realised that its no good him telling me no more. LOL

Just need to know how to fold it now.
