Hey Nic, DS not speaking really either, but absolutely nothing wrong with his ears! I know that for certain. He is almost 21 months.

1legmummy · 08/06/2009 22:01

It is quite heavy to lift, but that is the only downside I can think of.

It is lovely to push, my Son is 3 in November and very tall for his age. He is very comfortable reclined, forward and rear facing. I got it when he was about 18 months and it was perfect then too. It is a comfy seat with footrest which adjusts.

The handle goes up and down. I dont have any photos as not really got the guts to sell it, would not even know what to ask for it to be honest. But I will try to take some tomorrow.

I think the ladies on here can confirm I have certainly had my share of pushchairs and this one is my favourite

nicolamumof3 · 08/06/2009 22:02

does he get frustrated? luka does really bad. he did say 'cake' today or 'cac' in the cafe after swimming i bought him a biscuit, he wasn't impressed walked up to counter and pointed at chocolate fudge cake...'cac' he said was v.cute! so he got his cake.

maxybrown · 08/06/2009 22:02

gawd yes, bet it is draining. I know I don't let DS "out" in town if on my own. He's really good but veen so. He walks well with reigns though too.

Ha ha ha ha Love the pic! I think he looks very happy, you must be making it all up!

nicolamumof3 · 08/06/2009 22:05

mmmh i wish! i can't find our reins they have mysteriously disappeared, i wonder what he'd be like with little life pack? he's started biting too. he bites your hand as you do up harness of pushchair and he bit tate today

maxybrown · 08/06/2009 22:06

Ooh it sounds good....would have to sell my used 4 times mac to buy one though!

Nicola - I don't know about him getting frustrated. Eveyrthing he tries to say comes out like gmph gmph....ha ha ha ha it is hard to type it. he can say beep beep as clear as day and no (obviously) miaow, er and prob other things. he has all correct intonation for everything, just not the formation of the word??! I can't imagine him getting as far as cac for cake! mind you, he doesn't really like cake either so.......lol!

maxybrown · 08/06/2009 22:08

Oh no......I haven't reached that yet. He has very very gently out my finger in his mouth but he got what for and I frightened him (hee hee) and he's not tried again. MInd you, he's only child too so apart from various cousins etc, he is alone at home!

Try him with little life thing. A compromise of freedom?

nicolamumof3 · 08/06/2009 22:12

my mum thinks he's different to tate as tate didn't have a close sibling to compare himself too and see at home all the time, (tom is my oldest he's 10 so tate was at home on his own with me for first 18m alot) whereas luka is now with tate all the time and wants to do all that he does? either that or he's just a little monkey? tate was talking loads at 18m. when luka was born he had lots of words. i still think of luka so much as a baby in so many ways.

babydrip · 08/06/2009 22:24

oooh now im extremly tempted on the mutsy 4 rider! thankyou!
whats the youngest age they can go in them?
There is one on my local preloved but ive mailed the lady soooo many times and shes not got back in topuch i could have nipped over, got it and hidden it away whilst hubby away! well that'l teach him to have to go away so often!
love to u all

1legmummy · 08/06/2009 22:41

My friend had hers from birth and used a carrycot and the carseat on it.

I think there is a newer version now, not sure what the difference is though.

Also, mine is the 4 rider light. Has smaller wheels at the front. How much do they sell for in good used condition?

maxybrown · 08/06/2009 22:44

Oh Nicola, maybe it's because he is your baby? I dunno. Jim lad will stay only one, and he seems so grown up! (I think people think he is older and wonder why he isn't talking properly??)

I guess sometimes they say (whoever They is) that having siblings can make them lazy in terms of speaking etc, but then sometimes they speak loads BECAUSE they have siblings......oh who knows??

Do you think you respomd to him differently because you think of him as a baby baby? (let's face it though, they ARE babies! But hopefully you know what I mean??)

nicolamumof3 · 08/06/2009 22:49

yes maybe, i wanted tate to grow up and be the big boy at 18m as i had another baby bless him and he did he was so advanced. luka wouldn't even hold his own bottle til way past a year old. he is my baby you are right. dp said he got broody today tho! who knows i might have one more but his behaviour atm puts me right off having anymore. im worn out thats for sure! i think i might sell nipper and try a rear facer!

babydrip · 08/06/2009 22:51

I dont know how much they tend to go for as was looking local to me so i could pick up....Its the ones with the small wheels and large wheels i like, are they very roomy?
I dont know wether to sell my phil and ted its got loads of extras then maybe even be able to get a new one!....argh decisions! what colour is yours?

Ah you brave soul! 1 is enough for us! Mind you, I was adamant I was never having any so did well. And I love him to pieces, like he has alwyas been here. he is so good, it would be dangerous to have any more I think lol.

Babydrip it is 1legmummy got mutsy. I prefer them with all 4 chunky wheels (I have a symmetrical proble i think!)

Ah very good Dis, good luck on the train lol

Off to bed for a read of the first book I have picked up in 2 years at least......bliss! Night x

pebbles79 · 08/06/2009 23:10

Nicola, my DS2 is 3 and a half almost and is speech is only just coming on now. I put him into private nursery just one day a week in January and upped him to two days a week in April and it's doing wonders for him. I find it hard because I know he's not 'slow' so to speak as he's so good at other things. He was very easy to potty train, and can work a Nintendo DS much better than his 6 year old brother. Don't worry too much, he'll get there in his own time.

babydrip · 08/06/2009 23:20

aww thankyou maxybrown

babydrip · 08/06/2009 23:27

maxybrown · 09/06/2009 08:15

Good morning! Phew, I'm shattered today -no reason for it at all!

Right, 1legmummy if you are about....can you swap the wheels on the Mutsy? I'm sure I've seen people selling them before with both sets?? Or are there diff models? Oh heck i don't know! Does it fold up in one piece?

nicolamumof3 · 09/06/2009 08:27

NormaSknockers · 09/06/2009 08:42

You'll love the Skate, it sits so high up which is lovely.

Eagerly awaiting my Gecko & then I;ll decide which stays & which goes!

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/06/2009 08:46

Morning.
Nicola I was thinking after your other thread that the difference for my DD3 is that she has a close sibling. The other two had a lot of my time on their own.
DD3 bites sometimes too. Think she has to find ways to stand her own ground with a big sister.
On the other hand DD2 [the one who has hearing loss due to fluid-glue ear?] has had to come to terms with being ousted from centre stage by younger child. She gets more upset and says she gets fed up with people shouting at her. Which they have to for her to hear anything and of course she can be a minx like they all can.
Family dynamics are very complicated no?

I am excited about all of the new arrivals[pushchairs!] that are winging their way across the country today.

Disenchanted3 · 09/06/2009 09:18

I know Imagine them all in their boxes zooming about

I really hope I love the skate, If I don't I'll have to get a bee again, even though in hindsight Id prefer it to be a bit sturdier it takes 99% of my boxes.

Going to list MB on ebay, what do you think I should list it for ?
