buggylovinmummy · 14/05/2009 19:18

Hi ive just got a mothercare urban detour on e-bay for £20 for my long nursery walk i have to do.

Cant believe how much i love it, having air tyres is fab, why didnt i get a pushchair like this sooner, and a bargain at £20.

Now im wondering whether to sell my newish quest to get a newer 3 wheeler and get a cheap stroller just for the bus, oh what to do??????????

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2009 19:18

Hello all.
Nicola I have mailed you.

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 20:09

lol That sounds like me. I have a Nipper and it is fan blody tastic, and now a Mac XLR (hee hee) but would love a newer Nipper now I've given it a go! It is so light, it's fab!

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 20:29

BLM, is this your first air tyres experience then? they are fab aren't they. get a nipper and feel the love!!

buggylovinmummy · 14/05/2009 20:32

Yes nic it is, are the nippers really nice?

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 20:42

I think so! Nic has the new 360 one and I have the fixed wheel one.......we are both fans tho! Not that I'm trying to speak fo you Nicola! lol. I can't wait to get my Mac out from under the stairs lol!

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 20:56

heres my nipper
www.picturetrail.com/nicolaspushchairs

the only thing i would like is a storage pocket on the back of the hood. but otherwise i love it, its sooooo light that is the beauty of it. the seat is nice and deep so great for toddlers who try and escape a normal buggy. fits buggyboard nice. huge hood. i get through pushchairs so quick but i use this one daily and its stayed put a while in this house so that says it all! i nearly bought a mb instead so glad i got my nipper was £175.

buggylovinmummy · 14/05/2009 21:00

Was that new?

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 21:01

yes brand new. i wanted the camel and the only place i could get it at the time was ebay.

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2009 21:02

I liked my Nipper too.
It is sturdy too which I do like. Some I have had-the janes basically had a lot of 'play' in the chassis and handlebar which I found disconcerting. MB and Nipper both feel very strong.
Only things I didn't like so much were the lack of bumper bar and the sloping footwell which always made my DD look as if she was reclining.

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 21:10

the seat is deep back but i like that as both ds3 and ds2 have room in it. DS2 is nearly 3 and half and he doesn't look big in it. i don't like bumper bars as they get in the way at over 18m i think. or maybe thats just my boys!

buggylovinmummy · 14/05/2009 21:19

Your nipper looks lovely nicola. I might have to check out e-bay .

Im thinking of selling my quest what do you reckon its worth, its 2 months old but immaculate.

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2009 21:20

Whats the difference between Storm Zapp and black?

I like a bumper bar so that DD can sit forward and grabs the bar to help her. Also don't always use the harness these days so gives some security.
I loved my M&P 3in1 which had a bumper bar and very flat seat. Great for a just beginning to sit up baby.

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 21:32

BLM what quest is it?

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 21:41

having looked on quinny site the 'storm' just looks like black to me

5inthebed · 14/05/2009 21:52

I think storm is the new black.

I was out in town today with my BJCM and got accosted (sp?) by this crazy woman asking me where I bought my BJCM from and how did it fold and could she push it . It wasn't one of you lot was it . I had to take ds3 out to let her have a try folding it. She was well pleased with it. I nearly offered to sell it to her but love it too much to let it go. I now think I have a stalker as I saw her at least 3 more times around town before going home.

My sister has DS3 tomorrow, as I'm getting double glazing done, an she has taken Mac to hers. I'm fretting now though, as she smokes, and I just hope she has the sense to leave my pram somewhere she doesn't smoke. Nothing worse than a stinky pram. I'm going to have to sniff it as soon as I see her.

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 21:58

'the new black' i like that 5in

mac covers can go in machine they will come out smelling delicious whatever happens.

BexieID · 14/05/2009 21:59

lol @ sniffing prams

5inthebed · 14/05/2009 22:05

I've just realised how crazy I sounded in my last bit.

Have you seen this buggyboot? I like the way the shopping basket sits on it, but now sure I would buy one.

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 22:09

I'm not a bumper fan, something else to clean and to get in the way when forcing...er I mean placing DS into the pushchair

5inthebed · 14/05/2009 22:13

LOL Maxie

I quite like bumper bars on prams. I had to have one on DS2's prams as he was in an awful habit of hanging out his pram trying to touch the wheels.

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 22:14

lol maxy your ds sounds like mine! nothing a well placed knee doesn't fix!! thats the beauty of the nipper with the laid back seat luka can't get out when he's in!!!

5in saw that buggyboot on dragons den i don't see the point tbh. looks too big bulky and heavy. i get basket over handles of mac in supermarket and just shove the shopping in basket of nipper straight off!

BexieID · 14/05/2009 22:22

Tom used to hang from the Micralite touching the wheels.

BexieID · 14/05/2009 22:24

£70 for that boot thing.
