Do you think a brolly would work just as well?

pureeandpearls · 13/05/2009 23:00

ponders one on eBay

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 07:25

morning all! X

5inthebed · 14/05/2009 07:58

The Nuna is a funky looking pram isn't it! The seat looks a bit low though?

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2009 08:43

Morning.
Nuna does look funky!

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 08:45

bexie....for the sleepover?? That is a right royal rip off if it's just for the sleepover! Which one is she after? They come up all the time on ebay.

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 08:47

here cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILVER-CROSS-MILAN-SHADE-SUN-CANOPY-SHADE-NEW-SHADE-BN_W0QQitemZ220410235058QQcmdZVie wItemQQptZUKBabyBabyTravelPushchairsGL?hash=item220410235058&trksid=p3286.c0.m14&trkparms=72%3 A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 I know it might depend on which design she wants!

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 08:48

in fact there are LOADS on there for a tenner

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2009 09:00

What does anyone think is the best solution for sunshading?
Parasols fall over.
All over net things are bulky, expensive and my DD hated not being able to see out properly.

I am hoping that now she is nearly 3 I can just slather her in suncream and put the hood up. It is meant to be a very hot summer though isn't it.
I always thought a suncover like a Maclaren raincover would be good. Then it would be small and much neater on.
Or a sail type thing that extended out front of a pushchair.

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 09:10

a big hood i think I HATE any attachments, DS just attacks them now, get in his way!

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 09:39

i only really bothered with sunshades up to about a year, maybe im a slack mummy but after that its just plenty of suncream and hats. if its blistering hot then tbh i try not to take them out in it anyway or stay in shade.

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2009 09:45

Oh Nicola you are such a slack mother!

Not!

Yes I do think the time for sunshades has past. It would be nice if there was a perfect solution though.

BexieID · 14/05/2009 09:51

Thanks maxy, will let her know. She was thinking of white frilly ones and will be glad to know that you can get boyish ones.

Tom doesn't do hats. Parasols are crapola. Tom hates the sun on his face though. Maybe I need to bring out the hat and sunglasses when hes mid whinge, lol.

BexieID · 14/05/2009 10:08

What couriers are you all using and do any do time slots?

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2009 10:11

Think it was senditnow that Nicola said used parcelforce who could give time slots?

Anyway I use parcel2go who don't.
Hope thats helpful.

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 10:27

bexie glad I was of service....I have resorted to being ready with a hat when he whinges because of the sun in his face.....works sometimes when he realises it helps!!! Oh and with senditnow, you can narrow the time down a lot!

mmmcheese · 14/05/2009 10:35

hi, i started a new thread but hoping someone on here can help! does anyone know of its possible to get the raincover on the petite star zia 4 whilst using the cocoon with it?just can't seem to do it.thanks!

5inthebed · 14/05/2009 11:11

I've never used a parasol or any sun thingmajig on any of my prams. I prefer the old hat/hood/suncream. Although ToysRus have a gorgeous parasol in. Black on top but underneath is like a jungle and has creatures hanging from it. Might have to buy one just to occupy ds3.

BJCM is fab in the sun, the hood comes down really well. Have I ever mentioned how much I love my BJCM?

NormaSknockers · 14/05/2009 11:12

LOL 5in glad to see you're still loving it

claret1980 · 14/05/2009 12:36

Bexie, I used senditnow the other day, they use parcelforce. Courier came at 3.30pm & the parcel was at buyer's address at 10am the next day. Cost £13.99.

horsemadgal · 14/05/2009 13:25

I always used a protect a bub with DS1.
Infact I must dig it out as the Cam sunshade is not cutting it with DS2, sun still shines through and he hates the sun in his eyes.

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/05/2009 13:45

Help I just won a black Zapp for £72 from babyvalue-yay. BUT on my ad for one babyalfie just offered me one in BREEN!!!! Now I Have no funds in paypal.
Should I just ask babyalfie to wait and see if I can sell the black or should I ask babyvalue if I can pull out.

Why does this happen?

nicolamumof3 · 14/05/2009 13:53

dunoon email me please!! [email protected]!! thanks xx

shhhh · 14/05/2009 14:01

PUREE,GO FOR IT! I also saw that one on ebay..there is not to many around atm on 2nd hand market as to new but thats a good bargin.

I never tend to accessorise my prams but have this time . Just had delivered this week the parasol, all weather pack and foot muff...

My only issschoo is the fact that nothing comes with the pram iykwim..not even a rainhood. Hence me buying it this week.

The seat is low BUT not unusually low..I had the dazzle a while back and imo its not a patch on it. Looks funky, the handlebar is adjustable and its so lovely to push. Means I can hold dd's hand and push the buggy.

Also I used to have a zapp and tbh I always thought dd looked to big for it (but she wasn't) but this is a nice sized seat.

Go for it..

maxybrown · 14/05/2009 18:20
