Argh how annoying. Maclaren buggy in paper £50. Rang to see what model it was and it's a 2008 XLR ........ but it's the brown and pink one Could have got myself a right bargain there. I was ringing to see if it would be an XLR but I didn't think it would be I thought it would be a really old one.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/05/2009 18:11

nappy buy it and sell on. you will make money on it.

I saw the Fizz in Eclipse at the weekend too and thought it looked fab. Baby was reclined too which is a good feature.

I am stil swithering over selling my lightweights-which one to go and do I get another?

carrielou2007 · 04/05/2009 18:35

Same here FMTD, love the volo but just that bit of recline would be fab. Can't bring myself to part with the volo though and looks like I might have sold the apples quest .

Crikey that's 3 buggies sold in a week (hyperventilates at thought of nothing to take away in the caravan apart from xt but may not be able to fit it in the boot along with all my stuff!!)

nappyaddict · 04/05/2009 18:43

I did think about selling it on but I can't really be bothered Having enough trouble selling my own on!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/05/2009 18:48

TBh the recline isn't very necessary for me, DD doesn't nap often now but definitly good for nappers.

off to eat spare ribs and corn n the cob-messy!

nicolamumof3 · 04/05/2009 19:51

loulabellecelino · 04/05/2009 21:13

lillypie · 04/05/2009 22:06

Good evening everyone
Carrie I have to leave the house by 10 on Fridays so if that is too early for you then Sunday is fine

loulabellecelino · 04/05/2009 22:08

Me too, I loved my ziko, but it doesnt do rear facing my fav. is still the cam tho, I have finally indulged myself and bought one on ebay today as I'm starting walking my son to school and back now its summer, determined to burn off some blubber!
Cant wait for it to get here.......

nicolamumof3 · 04/05/2009 22:18

oooh lovely how old is your dc?

vintagerose · 04/05/2009 23:51

Hi ladies! Has anybody seen the new maclaren grand tour lx on the u.s website? Its lush, looks really sturdy and its rear facing! Does anyone know if it will be out in the uk, or how much it is? I doubt dd will still be in a pram by then [sob] but I can always dream...

basl · 05/05/2009 00:54

MRSMagooo thanks for the advice but i really can't make my mind on this one. Trying to come up with funds for one of the baby joggers. I am going on holiday to tenerife and have will have a four year old and my son will be 1 year old then in sep.Same age as your little one i think. I would love to have the elite for everyday as i walk to nursery and back everyday and the paths are horrible and bumpy and it is during my son's sleep time so like it to be a comfy ride. I would have this in a min but hubby has just tried out the zia and loved how small and compact but i did not like it half as much as the bjcm. Is the elite that much bigger? Would it still be able to fold up compact enough for the airport? Does the leg rest work well. Oh i don't know what to do for the best. My mind was made up but i love the elite now. Oh one more question have you had any probs with it tipping backwards. Is it more padded than the bjcm. Thanks so much

nicolamumof3 · 05/05/2009 06:22

Morning all!

Vintage, heard the grand tour is out in here September, but get saving....I also heard will be £900 plus!!!

shattered today only 6hrs sleep not enough for me!! i have my course today and didn't finish project as couldn't get all info. not a good start eh?

MrsMagooo · 05/05/2009 07:53

Basl to give you an idea the BJCM folded dimensions are 80 x 76 x 61 & the BJCE when folded is 88 x 70 x 44 so not a huge amount in it. However when unfolded you the BJCE is/feels much bigger but not in a bad way. Have had absoltely no problems with either if them tipping back & I hand my changing bag from the handle - it (the Elite) has so much storage that you wouldn't need to hang anything else from the handle as t all fits in the basket/storage pockets etc! Its much more padded then the BJCM, the leg support is brill, really quick & easy to use & folds away into a neat little pocket under the seat when not in use. My DS will be 1 on August 4th, he's only tweeny though at 17lbs. My DD is almost 3 & has masses of room in it, it goes up to age 5 (78lbs).

If it's for everyday use then I would go for the Elite & use the BJCM for buses/shopping

mamadiva · 05/05/2009 08:14

I love my BJCM, I use it everyday and do a lot of walking. Although it is not as smooth a ride as a proper 3 wheeler but a lot better than any other stroller I've had.

I was crossinga step bridge yesterday and my DS walks over it holding my handwhilst I hold the stroller in the other, so anyway yeah I took DS out of the pram and just lifted the strap and folded in what2-3 seconds with no fuss and all I heard from behind me was 'Ooh Margaret did you sse that' then ladies approached me with little girl in an Aria and what I think was MIL and DIL asked if they could have a shot as it looked fab so they did and they kept going 'Oooo that is fantastic must get me one of these' asked me the make model and where to buy never asked price though!

nicolamumof3 · 05/05/2009 08:56

Thats fab mama, its nice when something like that happens, and you can share the BJCM love!!!

right im off to my course, with uncompleted homework, not good for week two

mamadiva · 05/05/2009 08:57

LOL Nicola have fun and good luck

maxybrown · 05/05/2009 08:59

Hey. the grand tour is a revamped superdreamer!!

MrsMagooo · 05/05/2009 09:00

Mama htye are just so fabby aren't they - will definately get another to go along aside my Elite - black this time though How fab that they wanted a shot of it - makes you pull this face when someone goes 'oooo look at that' doesn't it

mamadiva · 05/05/2009 09:03
