oh he is 8mth, so should be ok then or maybe she doesnt have underneath seat.

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/04/2009 21:57

Sounds good. I hope you enjoy it. Did your friend get a job near her?
I am surrounded by yummy mummies who tend to be quite high powered and my self confidence isn't what it used to be anyway. I imagine that in a competition for TA jobs I would be at the back of a long queue.

nicolamumof3 · 23/04/2009 22:16

the seat itself is the same no.1? you need no seperate attachments to attach underneath so as long as she has doubles seat you are good to go! no elbows needed!

flyme don't say that, i know what you mean i've been doing a brain numbing job for 4.5yrs now after my 'career' in the city it just fitted in with kids but now im doing something to interest me i can't wait to get going! yes local school in east sussex.

sweetkitty · 23/04/2009 22:22

Evening ladies finally got 5 mins to get on here

My Luna hood never sold on ebay despite over 60 visits, I had it on BIN £16.49 plus £4.75 p&p, was the cheapest on ebay by £1.50 as well

Interesting all this talk about TAs jobs and courses, I haven't worked since DD1 was born 5 years ago and sometimes I think what will I do next, did look into teaching a while back but got pregnant with DD2, can't really do anything just now as we have no family to help out so I cannot afford childcare.

Dis - that buyer sounds mad, some people are so rude.

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/04/2009 22:28

The idea of TA is very appealing because of the hours, term time and without the responsibilites of teaching.I have heard it is badly paid though.

Do you have any kind of info Nicola

I will try googling.

My self confidence is very low now. I cannot believe I used to teach.

sweetkitty · 23/04/2009 22:34

I have heard the same things about TAs Dunoon especially the pay, I was thinking of nursery teaching myself. So know what you mean about having no self confidence anymore, I used to give presentations to rooms full of people and was seen to be an expert to other people who would ask me for advice all the time

nicolamumof3 · 23/04/2009 22:54

me too, i was an underwriter in the City dealing with millions of pounds and important clients. lots of travel, going out etc. wouldn't dream of it now! but tbh im happier now then i was then if alot poorer. i will get ladies email for you tomorrow flyme to so you can enquire about courses. i wouldn't worry about the pay so much as used to low pay now!!

shame your hood didn't sell

5inthebed · 23/04/2009 23:24

Has anyone hired a pram from rentabuggy? They have a bee for hire, and was going to try one. Not too sure if it's a good company or not?

BexieID · 24/04/2009 07:19

I'm so tired but can't sleep! PJs are too blimmin tight! My good ones are all packed away. I think we are leaving for our sun hol just after lunch. DP reckons it'll take 2 hrs to get there and we can't check in till after 4 anyway, but I bet traffic will be bad.

nicolamumof3 · 24/04/2009 07:25

5in i don't know anyone who has tried rentabuggy im afraid. i was going to use them tho?

Bexie have a fab holiday!!

BexieID · 24/04/2009 07:31

I will do as we're going straight down to my mums for a week on monday .

nicolamumof3 · 24/04/2009 07:39

fab Bexie, well enjoy, how you feeling??

claret1980 · 24/04/2009 07:42

Have a fab holiday Bexie!

claret1980 · 24/04/2009 07:47

Right, I'm going to list my buzz and basket & raincovers on ebay. What should I expect to get for it? Going to list the bag & footmuff separately.

BexieID · 24/04/2009 08:05

I'm not feeling too bad, just tired .

FlyMeToDunoon · 24/04/2009 08:55

Have a great holiday Bexie.
Hope the weather holds up for you.
Thanks Nicola. I too am not bothered by low wages. Low wages are better than no wages!
Only thought is if it is worth doing any training when I probably wouldn't be able to start a job until DD3 goes to school in two years. Even then I would like to be able to take her for the first year or so.
At least some of the time.

Well a huge pile of handwash knitwear awaits me!

Disenchanted3 · 24/04/2009 09:26

Morning,

Have a great time Bexie!

We are off to a Haven holiday in a few weeks time

No luck with XT yet, its finishing today, don't think it will sell.

Lots of watchers, lots of questions, but all asking 'if I'll take any less'

Thing is I would, but its ebay fees, ebay and paypal will take about £18 so i would take about £118 for ity cash on collection, but noone seems to live near me that wants it!

If I reduced it anymore I would be loosing and I refuse to, would rather keep it.

My double MB was supposed to be here today but send it now didn't collect AGAIN!!

This is the fourth time in a row they have done this. I swore never to use them again but I had to yesterday as they don't ask dimensions and Im booking rather than seller...

I even phoned up after my order to check it was all on their system (it was) and that i would be picked up yesterday (it would)

but it wasn't.

She can't stay in today, so will have to picked up Monday now so won't get till tuesday

Was planning to do it up a bit over weekend, spray the frame black and sand out the bits of rust

Ah well.

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 24/04/2009 09:36

Dis what do you use to spray it black again?

mamadiva · 24/04/2009 09:45

Hi all,

How is everyone?

Have just listed some toys here if anyone wants, trying to fund sandpit LOL. Poor Liam's toyboxes look empty now but most of tehm he never really touched so thought would get rid before they multiply

Bexie have a fab holiday!

Dis shame about XT I really do think you are just meant to keep it! Could you put it in the local paper maybe?

Disenchanted3 · 24/04/2009 09:46

Hammerite spray, sand it all with sandpaper first.

Grrr....

I just phoned send it now, they said at 4:15 they went tosellers house and was told at the door (said her adress) that there was nothing to collect

I've bought from her before and a much more expensive buggy, so not worried, but would like to know whats going on! As she said they never showed up!

nicolamumof3 · 24/04/2009 10:13

omg how weird.

im in huge financial meltdown! sick of no money, dp is not working my job finishes next week etc. not good. im just trying to sell what i can.

the reason i want to do TA is for the hours they are often not full time positions flyme so you can still do school drop and pick ups.

an xt was listed last night dis an 08 one with two comfort packs at £85 plus courier it went in minutes. unfortunately i don't think they v.often make over £100 without footmuff frustrating as yours is worth it.

Disenchanted3 · 24/04/2009 10:15

think im gonna keep it.

Am a bit about the MB, maybe they went to wrong adress?

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 24/04/2009 10:16
