whats ebid TOMPD?

FlyMeToDunoon · 24/04/2009 11:43

Thanks Dis
Nothing to add to XT advice. I really can't see why it is not going.
There might be a psychological barrier price that people just aren't wiling to go over. Who can tell.

I find everywhere very slow atm.

nicolamumof3 · 24/04/2009 11:52

toms DC trainers just sold for £16 on ebay wasn't expecting that much! thats bumped up ebay funds abit! only need another £50 lol!

mamadiva · 24/04/2009 11:53

£16 for trainers! WD you were they new?

Might invest in some now LOL.

FlyMeToDunoon · 24/04/2009 11:57

Weird how some things go. I sold two Lilydolls for £25 each and an outfit for them for £16.
Just managed to sell a copy of Your Baby and Child.
Off to the post office.

After hanging out the now clean mountain of knitwear.

nicolamumof3 · 24/04/2009 12:21

i dont know toms dad bought them from the US! i can buy him some new crocs now so im happy!

listed lots of ladies shoes!

claret1980 · 24/04/2009 13:00

I have lots to list on ebay today at some point. It is the thought of having to sort it all out. Must get motivated!

sweetkitty · 24/04/2009 15:57

hi all speaking of Crocs the DDs chose a pair each, DD2 wanted purple and got them yesterday, DD1 wanted bright pink I thought I had ordered then but got an e-mail today saying they are out of stock, cannot get them anywhere she will be devastated

DD1, DD3 and DH are all unwell today, DH off work which he has never done before.

pebbles79 · 24/04/2009 16:06

I'm so pleased with the Baby Jogger City Mini, can't believe I actually managed to get one!

jennieflower · 24/04/2009 17:00

Hi again ladies.

I'm not in a good mood today, I took DS to the local clinic for the breastfeeding support group and weigh in and some B**tard stole my friends M&P skate from the foyer!

I live in a small, quiet market town, and really never expected this to happen in a million years!

So assuming everyone has to leave their prams unattended when they go to baby weigh in, how do you secure them?

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 24/04/2009 17:03

pebbles glad you like have you been out for a test run yet?

jennieflower that's disgusting
I'd be keeping an eye out on ebay for Skates in your area. Did she report to police? Should be covered by hhold ins?

pebbles79 · 24/04/2009 17:14

Yep, I've had it out on the school run and it's lovely to push. Just need to get a raincover now and I'm sorted.

jennieflower · 24/04/2009 17:16

Yeah I've already set my ebay to email me when any come up for sale in this area.

She reported to the police, they just gave her a crime reference number, there is CCTV directly over the area it was taken from so hopefully they'll be able to identify the thief. Not sure about the household insurance as it was unattended?

I'm gutted really, I've just ordered some bike locks so we can secure our prams in future but it feels a bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 24/04/2009 17:22

Pebbles I was going to get the black koodi pack it one (ebay)

pebbles79 · 24/04/2009 17:28

I've never seen that before but it looks quite good! I was just going to get a cheapy one from undercoverpvc but I really like that that one has a little bag and a window.

Anyone want to buy my Skate?

sweetkitty · 24/04/2009 17:32

pebbles - oh glad you love the BJCM the Skate is lovely but too big for me, although I love the rear facing thing too, oh and it's not pink enough for me you should sell it no problem

jennieflower - that is disgusting, imagine stealing a babies pram knowing that the Mum would have to carry the baby home what if it was a newborn and she had a toddler too, suppose people don't think like that.

pebbles79 · 24/04/2009 17:48

It's got the lovely pink liner, lol!

I'll need to get photo's of it done tonight and get it properly advertised.

nicolamumof3 · 24/04/2009 18:15

jennie that is absolutely disgusting what did they say at the docs? everyone leaves theyre prams in the foyer of the docs too. i always have brought mine right in at baby clinic or just a normal apt. they soon shut up when i asked whether they would reimburse me if my £500 pram was stolen! you can't be too careful i think. i look at all the bugs in the foyer theyre must be thousands worth ready to be taken. but to take something from a baby is really nasty.

misdee · 24/04/2009 18:23

jennie, thjats terrible!

i knwo this is naughty of me, but i have as gorgeous peg perego p3 in black bubbles, not beign used. anyone interested? its almost new!

FlyMeToDunoon · 24/04/2009 18:24

Jennie

I always take the pushchair into the docs although there is a covered area outside.

Loads of prams get left outside nursery too. I sometimes think gosh there is a fortune here.

Not to steal obviously.

jennieflower · 24/04/2009 19:53

Well the receptionist wasn't very helpful, she actually said that the theft reminded her that she needs to put a sign up saying that they're not responsible for items left in the foyer!

It's quite tricky really, I've seen people come into clinic with prams being asked to take them back outside. The rooms not very big so there's not really any room to take them in with us but we do need to see the health visitors and get our babies weighed so what should we do? I've just ordered a couple of bike locks so we can chain our prams together when we go to different baby groups.

I think I was very lucky, My Cam was parked right next to hers, but the brake was on, and Bug brakes are quite hard to work out. I still feel sick that some skanky pikey might have had their hands all over my pride and joy.

nicolamumof3 · 24/04/2009 20:07

jennie think this is one for the local paper! i can't believe it the attitude of the receptionist is shocking, but not surprising (sorry to offend any understanding drs.receptionists) but they are not the most empathic of people i've found! i think they should provide locks if you have to leave them and understand how much prams cost.
