FlyMeToDunoon · 23/04/2009 14:12

Hi,
Anyone know if I can put any MB covers on an old style urban?

nicolamumof3 · 23/04/2009 14:39

all depends on your poppers i think lol (how many poppers your cover/chassis has) not that i know anything about MB's

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/04/2009 14:53

Yes vaguely remember summat about two poppers.

BexieID · 23/04/2009 16:34

I will ask misdee or the lady i'm getting the carrycot from! Then when I see one going cheap i'll get one .

nicolamumof3 · 23/04/2009 16:39

i think misdees is only £15 which isn't bad? plus post of course.

sweetkitty · 23/04/2009 16:46

Speaking of buggyboards - has anyone put one on a Luna?

BexieID · 23/04/2009 16:54

Yeah, just found her thread! Just want to get organised!

BexieID · 23/04/2009 17:04

Will have to attach one to buggy well in advance for Tom to get used to it.

pebbles79 · 23/04/2009 17:07

Do you think you'll need one Bexie? DS1 was 3 years 5 months when DS2 came along and I didn't have any sort of buggyboard or anything for him.

BexieID · 23/04/2009 17:13

Tom will walk miles when he wants to but I always take the buggy out with me as sometimes he just decides he's had enough and will just sit on the floor until someone carries him. If he gets into the nursery i've put him down for, it's up a great big hill, lol.

ARGHHHH

justhad someone from ebay come look at XT, his mum rang me to ask if they could view, and its BIN (No offers) on ebay and she said will you take less than 135?

i said yes £125 on collection

any more? she said.

120 says me, thats all.

So her son comes, come in the back garden walks round it not talking, Im trying to make conversation and he says 'ill get my wife'

She comes, is really nice and friendly (and soooo young) and really likes it, she puts her baby in and is wheeling it around.

The husband is totally igonoring me and keeps asking DH qiestions

The wife says 'shall we get it' and he mumbles, she says it again and he said 'we will talk in the car'

He turns to DH and says 'will you take any less?'

I say no. (but polietly)

He goes to the car then returns asking if we will take any less as he hasn't much money ((you should have seen his posh car!!!))

and I refuse, so they leave

shock

I felt SO bad for his wife as it was obvious she really wanted it. They were of a certain religion (and before I get flamed, this was obvious from the dress ) and Im only pointing that out because I am assuming that is the reason he didn't want to talk to me and kept talking to DH who has no clue.

Im just a bit shocked and sad for that poor young girl as he was a complete sour face arse and she wanted it!!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 23/04/2009 21:16

Can I ask another question about pram.Excuse my ignorance as I try to describe what I mean....
You know the phil&Teds, My friend has offered to let me borrow it to take away. well the little adaptors (like an L shape) that you put in and attach another seat to it, well my friend has lost one, and she/we wondered if you could get spares and what they are called and where from???
(she doesnt know as she has just bought this second hand)
Also its the apple/lime colour and a bit dirty can covers come off and be scrubbed washed???
Thanks

nicolamumof3 · 23/04/2009 21:19

they are called elbows, these are to attach toddler seat up front yes?

and yes covers can come off for hand washing.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 23/04/2009 21:24

Thankyou.
Only ever seen pictures of P&t with seat underneath, so not sure what they look like or how it works with a seat on top.
Will go look on ebay for these elbows then.

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/04/2009 21:29

Nicola. I used to teach-reception and yr 1. But would not want to go back into it and did wonder if I could be a TA. The only thing that occurred to me was that there would be a lot of competition as I expect many mums would like to do it -fitting in with term times etc. and really there aren't that many primary schools around.
A qualification would definitly help.
How was it?

nicolamumof3 · 23/04/2009 21:44

it was just like a intro meeting course starts next tues for real. my friend did it last time. and got a paid job straight away! i always wanted to do teaching but not got the qual's so TA is good for me

No1 you have seat on top for toddler if you have newborn in main seat? how old is your youngest? if 6m or older they can go underneath and you don't need elbows.
