Does anyone know of a courier that does timed collections apart from parcel force?

nicolamumof3 · 03/03/2009 16:21

nope, but i use p4d and you can book up to 1pm with them?

nappyaddict · 03/03/2009 16:23

Do they do Saturday collections?

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 03/03/2009 19:01

So Dis, what do you think of it then??!

Disenchanted3 · 03/03/2009 19:03

Its lovely

Getting used to all the clippy bits, bottons and stuff, but it pushes lovely (only been round living room)

DD is asleep in it now.

The red covers are nice but really cant wait till my hot pink ones get here and Heather has said my poshbugs should be here next tuesdayish!

MrsMagooo · 03/03/2009 20:04

DivamakesKimchi · 03/03/2009 22:01

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/03/2009 08:38

Would like my poshbugs liner but guess I am looking at weeks away.
Somebody has put spell check on.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/03/2009 08:42

Nicola have you seen this? 50s MB on ads board.

carrielou2007 · 04/03/2009 09:35

Morning all.

Isn't it quiet on here??

Glad you like your cam Dis (wipes away a tear thinking about my beloved one no longer with me)

Can't think of any pushchairs I want to get apart from maybe a zapp again. Would love a MB but just don't need anyting big now (sigh)

nicolamumof3 · 04/03/2009 10:01

morning all!

dunoon i know about that mb. im undecided about mb again now, may be getting luna mix this week as diva can pick me one up. then need to sell xlr.

carrie i love my zapp i've decided to keep it just soooo handy and light.

dollydimple9 · 04/03/2009 10:56

Hi All,

Dis glad you like your bug cam i sooo love mine and i think the hot pink are the best colour, ive got some yellow brand new fleeces tho waiting for summer

Nicola you not got your luna mix yet? cant believe your selling xlr already.

Anyone know what the best courier is and one that will prefrebly be able to still collect today? Ive sold my Stokke and finally got an afternoon tea pram, wanted the ultima but the pramette came up first so bought that and got a lady sending pics of ultima tomight so might have that as well

lillypie · 04/03/2009 11:15

LOL hi carrie I am dithering over a zapp too
I think I might get on better with it now that DD is bigger.

nicolamumof3 · 04/03/2009 11:24

dolly, i know i am a bit like this atm no prams seem to be lasting v.long for me, tho i do still love my zapp! lillypie tate was fine in zapp on hols he's three was still a lovely push, i know people slate them but as long as its not your only buggy and for a toddler i think great.

dollydimple www.p4d.co.uk you can book up to 1pm for same day dhl not sure how much it will be to fully cover a stokke maybe £13/14?

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/03/2009 11:27

nicola you have mail.

carrielou2007 · 04/03/2009 11:32

[waves at Lillypie}

I still find the lack of recline a worry with the zapp but as I have the volo which has no recline which I leave in the car for days out and dd will sleep in it as the seat does have a bit of 'give' and the triumph (as well as the xt) I really don't need it (repeats to self)

Then I think I will be selling the black xt prob summer/end of summer as I really will not need a big buggy then for dd, could I really manage with just the volo and the pink triumph??

I used the triumph for the first time last sat and not sure if I like it as the seat doesn't really stay up as it has a stupid recline-clip thing. My childminder uses one though so dd is used to it. If it were not pink it would have been ebayed after that first outting!!

dollydimple9 · 04/03/2009 11:36

Stokke has gone she arranged her own courier, its for my pramette so not worth as much.

I could never get on with my zapp only used it twice and got rid but molly was only 10 months and i think they are more suited to older kids who perhaps get tired when walking etc,my sis in law used hers to its death with her toddler from 18 month till she was 3.No doubt i will try one again at some point tho.

Thanks for courier will have a look

nicolamumof3 · 04/03/2009 12:34

i've never had any probs with p4d they use dhl 48hr.

i do love my zapp but i wouldn't get it for a child who still napped in a buggy or a younger child. tate slept in it on holiday tho v.comfortably with no probs! i do love it as its so light, and fab if you get basket on it too. the only thing is i wish they'd put a clip on it to hold it all together when its folded.

will check email dunoon!

claret1980 · 04/03/2009 13:12

Having to take ds to get injections this afternoon. He is too big for his cocoon at 4 months. Can I put him in the doubles seat? Have to take ds1 with me as well that is all. Otherwise ds1 will run all over the place.

nicolamumof3 · 04/03/2009 13:14

i think maybe he's a bit small claret? how far can you get main seat reclined for him with ds1 in doubles at back? its more on the size i'd say and how he can hold himself up iykwim?

claret1980 · 04/03/2009 13:18

He is great with holding his head up. Thought you couldn't put the bigger child in the back.

Will have a play about and see, not got to be a docs till 3pm.

nicolamumof3 · 04/03/2009 13:20

i always had tate in the back, he was fine he used it up to last week and he's 3.2yr. i know they say that but most people you see do it that way then the oldes can hope in/out as they like?

misdee · 04/03/2009 13:30

hiya

i would choose a volo over zapp anyday. it has a more bucket-y seat so children can nap.

my stokke went last week i do miss it, but i replaced it with a skate from m+p in the yummy grape fabric. its lovely and i adore it. i am giving up prams, so will be having a sale soon, as want an mb and skate and thats it. am fed up of the buying an selling. have better things to do wit my time these days lol. plus we moved and need money for DIY lol.

carrielou2007 · 04/03/2009 15:25

I've just seen the skate in my local 'second hand' baby shop (they are brill, they sell stuff for you) and really was drooling - it was the denim. It is HUGE though, much bigger than I thought and so light. If only dd were not 2 and 2 months!!!

They had a black zapp and it was in such a state and they had it priced for 79.99!!!!! I think looking at the state of it they would struggle to get 30 for it (mind you I prob would get it for that and give it a really good scrub!!)

MrsMagooo · 04/03/2009 15:35

I can't get over how much I love my Skate, I honestly expected to sell it on straight away but the Buzz ended up going instead lol!

DS is sooooo comfy in it!
