FlyMeToDunoon · 05/03/2009 21:30

Gah trying to find cheap train fares online is bending my brain!

nicolamumof3 · 05/03/2009 22:09

how long does it take on train dunoon, oooh i'd love a nice long train journey!

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/03/2009 08:57

Morning.
Train to Edinburgh takes four and a half to five hours. I usually go myself and it is lovely to get all that time to just read or listen to music or stare out of the window.
DD2 was up twice in the night. Although she seems perky enough she has a chesty cough-again so I don't think she will be going out today.
I am sorry not to be visiting. Hopefully make it next week.
I am so tired this morning. After she woke up crying the second time I went and slept on the cot mattress beside her bed, DD3 was already in our bed so no room there for DD2.
Carrielou when should a child be taken to the doctor? I hate taking mine because usually they start to get better as soon as I make the appointment and I feel a fool as we sit in the surgery.
DD1 would have terrible earaches and I took her to the dr a couple of times. Got a lecture on the workings of the inner ear! Felt an idiot.
Big posters saying the common cold does not need treatment.
Posters about antibiotics not being handed out willy nilly.
It really puts me off.
However DD2 been coughing on and off since the big snow-when was that?

nicolamumof3 · 06/03/2009 09:48

yep that was a month ago. dunoon, i don't care about docs making you feel small, or paranoid mum. if your instinct wants it to be checked you should go then at least you can have your mind put at rest if she is ok?

hope you get a rest at some point today!!!

took a low offer on my xlr covers as they were on bin on ebay, that was last night and she hasn't paid ggggrrr, if i do bin i pay immediately.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/03/2009 10:03

Hello.
Bin usually says payment must be made imediatley[sp] doesn't it.
I hate slow payers.
Oh and DD's breath is foul.
Think will phone docs when I get off my backside. Had such a good day yesterday tidying and getting the place looking good and now today even though it is glorious out there I am going to be stuck in and feel like slobbing out.
Gah!

Disenchanted3 · 06/03/2009 10:07

Anyone pleassse want a pink bug footmuff??

Bought a charcoal one on ebay and need to sell this to pay for it

nicolamumof3 · 06/03/2009 10:13

dunoon, luka was exactly the same, bad breath then sick, it was deffo a bug he had took him a good week to get over.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/03/2009 10:14

Sorry my dear. Not me.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/03/2009 10:15

Did you take him to the doc?

nicolamumof3 · 06/03/2009 10:26

yep and just a virus they said, but at least i new, i'd never seen a child so weak and listless before he couldn't walk for two days.

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/03/2009 10:32

poor old sausage.
DD is not weak or listless though. She is dressing up and has on a bikini!

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/03/2009 10:35

Better turn the heating up!
Am in two minds about the doc now. Getting up off the pooter now and doing stuff.
Ta Ra.

nicolamumof3 · 06/03/2009 10:40

oh nice! im sure she's fine then....

MY LUNA MIX HAS JUST ARRRIVED!!! AND ITS FAB!!!

thanks so much diva, its in great condition, minor wear to wheels and i've got a spare bumper bar with it? [hmmm] just want my liner now, and think i might order a yellow hood for it too!

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/03/2009 10:51

I really am off now!

sweetkitty · 06/03/2009 10:56

Hi ladies can I join at this late stage?

Are there any joining conditions? I am only on pram number 5, DP curbs my addiction thank goodness.

My current debate is

Zapp V Petit Star Zia

Need to sell 7 month old P&T Sport to fund purchase though, DD2 is 3.2m now and I'm not using the Sport as a double anymore and it's quite big and bulky as a single. We are a drive then get pram out boot family so am looking for something lightweight, easy to put up and of course looks quite good DD3 is nearly 8 months and quite dinky.

BexieID · 06/03/2009 11:07

I've had a Zapp and a Zia when Tom was 17 months old. I used them both on the 3 min walk to toddlers and a quick nip around town. Despite being 5ft 2", I found them both very low. The Zia felt plasticky and I didn't think the wheels would last long (I bought it new almost as soon as it came out). The Zapp was 2nd hand and rattled and I kept catching my fingers on the handles (where there was a screw I think). I think it would be great if they took the best bits of both buggys and made it into one. I also now don't like buggys with normal wheels, prefer air filled (at the back anyway) for bumping up and down the stairs to my flat. So kept my Micralite. Now I also have a Mountain Buggy, which has a better raincover on it!

nicolamumof3 · 06/03/2009 11:08

sweetkitty all are welcome here!!

would the zapp/zia be your only pushchair?

i've just sold my p&t and its so liberating to go back to singles all the time. loving it (even if ds2 does get tired and ask for a carry!)

i only ask as i have a zapp and love it but if your only pushchair you may want something with a recline, something that can take shopping etc?

nicolamumof3 · 06/03/2009 11:09

luna mix pics

exact same colour green as my toro i had!
