I've phoned twice & they aren't budging - the first girl couldn't even say my name

I've forwarded the email & asked to resolve it!

Doubt they will though

It's odd how told you £19.99 & me £4.95

I might get it somewhere else as I'm a bit wary of that eBayer for some reason!

techno · 22/01/2009 10:02

yeah i noticed feedback after you mentioned but hes been ok for last 6months.
im going to list some clothes on ebay do you think i should do bunde of same age or list in outfits or list how they were bought ie 3tops that were bought as a pack?

MrsMagooo · 22/01/2009 10:06

Tbh if he's going to charge £20 postage then it's cheaper to go elsewhere

Re clothes - if tops came as a pack of 3 then I'd sell them that way. Sometimes I put a few outfits together but if it's a really cute one I list on it's own.

Odds & ends I put on as a bundle

claret1980 · 22/01/2009 10:11

Oh Mrs M I hope it gets sorted soon.

Decided not to get the ziko. I'm trying to restrain myself! So will just keep watching. They must have had an offer off someone else as she has ended it.

MrsMagooo · 22/01/2009 10:13

Very restrained of you Claret you have more will power then I di

techno · 22/01/2009 10:13

ok thank you! i'll probably be here all day trying to list stuff lol.
i agree that £20 postage will bump the price up a bit!!

Maclaren · 22/01/2009 10:13

Also depends on how much you want to get rid of it lol! at least a bundle all goes together! I always sell Designer items on their own then things like Next, cherokee things like that in bundles

claret1980 · 22/01/2009 10:16

I will be listing stuff on ebay later. I have a few of the kids shoes and the other pushchair at the moment.

Off to get pork chop ds2 weighed and then into town.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 22/01/2009 10:19

Babyvalue on Ebay - that Bebe Confort Vit - I didn't win it, flurry of last minute bidding - then within 5 mins I had a second chance offer - anyone else had that happen as suspicious me thinks they were bidding it up themselves in which case I wouldn't get it out of principle!!( even though I really want it now!!)

techno · 22/01/2009 10:21

i was thinking about doing a bundle of next 6-9m stuff have no idea weather to put as bin or auction i have 17 items so far but think i have more up stairs lol

Disenchanted3 · 22/01/2009 10:23

Hiya,

can I get your advice please?

I bought a Mac XT from ebay, the listing just said 'Good cndition, hood slightly bent' then the specs from mac website.

i bought it B-I-N and arranged collection at a local place.

Met the lady yesterday, it was raining I had 2yr old and newborn with me so just took buggy and got inside the shop . already paid by paypal.

Now I wouldn't say it was good condition.

it was a bit dirty, but have washed covers so not really an issue.

But the seat has got mould marks on it, not alot but about 4 clusters of black spots, but very small.

The brake is rusted.

the handles are loose and rickity.

And the wheels feel loose.

Thing is, DH could sort all the loosestuff, i can sort the mould marks and have already cleaned them.

So should I make an issue of it?

The footmuff is in lovely condition and the 'techno XT' logos on the frame are immaculate so once we sort the problems it will look pretty good i think.

And I only paid £40.

So what would you do? Be happy with it and make the best of it or do something, and if so what?

claret1980 · 22/01/2009 10:23

I think babyvalue are a baby shop IYKGWIM. They will have more than one in stock and if the price goes over a certain amount I suppose they will sell as many as they can.
Does that make sense?

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 22/01/2009 10:28

Claret, they do have other ones in stock on their list yes, but then they are already listed? I'm just very wary of Ebay after being ripped off once too many in past so am a suspicious aloicius I'm afraid.

But I want it!

horsemadgal · 22/01/2009 10:39

Hello hello, I'm back!
I was in hospital all weekend with horrendous rib pain and my blood pressure was up too.
Feeling a bit better now, think painkillers finally kicking in but best not sit here too long!!
I have consultant tomorrow so shall find out if can get induced early .

No way will I be able to read up on everything I have missed, so what's going on??

Maclaren · 22/01/2009 10:41

TOMPD quite a few on here have bought from babyvalues I know Nicola had bought two pushchairs from them inc her Zapp she got the other day and MrsM got her Buzz from them I think someone else also got their pushchair from them! They have loads of pushchairs for sale and must hold a large stock I think they get returns from Dorel (who own Maxi cosi, Quinny, Bebe Comfort and Saftey 1st) the guys here have all been really happy with them so I think you would be fine Also they usually list the items as used but 9 times out of 10 they are brand new!

OP posts:
Maclaren · 22/01/2009 10:43

HM oh how crap I was in hospital for two weeks with a bad back before tom was born they would induce me until my due date because the baby wasnt in danger tell that to my back! but with high blood pressure they may do for you! when are you due?

OP posts:
Maclaren · 22/01/2009 10:46

oh and Disenchanted I would raise a claim on paypal it doesnt matter how much you paid for something if it is not as discribe the lady is in the wrong! I did last week for a P&T I bought as it wasnt as stated I have had to spend £50 on parts for it to make it look nice I opened a dispute and asked for £40 towards the parts and she gave me it (I only paid £160 for the P&T) worth a try

OP posts:
TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 22/01/2009 10:48

ok bought the Vit

Disenchanted I agree with maclaren - it wasn't as described so you are entitled to dispute it, if you wanted a rickety buggy you'd have bought one!

Disenchanted3 · 22/01/2009 10:49

she was reall nice though, i feel bad

horsemadgal · 22/01/2009 10:50

MacLaren, gah to 2 weeks of back pain, how very frustrating that they wouldn't induce you.
I'm due Valentine's day, so just over 3 weeks. I am much better now but not able to lie down properly, getting very little sleep.
They think the pain was causing my blood pressure to go up. I have high blood pressure anyways so they might just up my tablets.
Oh well shall find out tomorrow.

horsemadgal · 22/01/2009 10:51

Oh and Maclaren, you had a Doomoo seat didn't you? Can you take all the covers off to wash and/or change the beans? Or just the 2 top ones?

pushchair · 22/01/2009 11:37

horsemadgal maclaren I think is looking for a jane nest if you have one for sale or were you looking for one too. Otherwise someone got a nice one from ebay for about £25 and mine was from the stirling pram centre and was £39 + post £5.00 I think.

MrsMagooo · 22/01/2009 11:38

Sorry dashed off had driving lesson!

Mary I've bought from B.Value oodles of times & have had a second chamce offer from them before, I always buy from them if I can as they're stuff is excellent quality, always arrives BNIB, the aftercare sales excellent & they arrive really quickly! I've bought 2 Quinny Buzz's, a Loola, a Loola Up, a Zapp & several other things from them & cannot fault them at all

Disenchanted if you're not happy it's as described then you do need o open a dispute however I would always contact the seller before doing so to allow them to try & resolve themselves first.

Maclaren tops have arrived - they are gorgeous thank you

HMG So sorry to hear you've been in hospital - Fingers crossed you get an induction date!!

BexieID · 22/01/2009 11:43

So, last night we had someone try to steal stuff on our cloase (someone had left the close door on the latch). Next door caught him with his hands full. Will have to get locks on the bikes outside and hopefully the MB. Anyway, get to the hospital this morning. take the MB out and the twunt had only stolen the bloody pram clips off it! Luckily the were only the clips climbers use out of the £shop, but thats not the point. I'm also pretty sure they tried taking the kaiser as it was only tied on with one tie (noticed it as had to take off as soaking wet because DP moved the MB where it could get wet .

I can't decide whether to risk taking Tom to toddlers (don't want him getting a cold before his op on wednesday).

BexieID · 22/01/2009 11:45

hmg, sorry to hear you've been in hospital. I did miss you!
