Kathyis6incheshigh · 28/11/2007 15:11

machine washable is good (you can watch it go round).
long fur that you can grab hold of.

Mine never had anything, but I used to childmind for a girl who had an old manky piece of towelling. She walked round everywhere with it in her mouth.Yuck.

Neice has a rabbit with velvet ears

Kathyis6incheshigh · 28/11/2007 15:13

we have a jellycat cat which used to make an amusing boinging noise when you dropped it, but it was never really friendly.

frothykindofadrink · 28/11/2007 15:17

puppies nasty

giraffe if you must

but really

Kathyis6incheshigh · 28/11/2007 15:18

I think that puppy ticks all the boxes.
He looks like you could stick him in a washing machine.

Libby Purves says stuffed toys must have 'pleasant expressions'.

[http://www.kskids.co.uk/acatalog/more-info/Ivan_the_Rabbit_Character_Toy.html K's Kids' Ivan rabbit] Medium and small are not to scale in that picture btw! He is machine washable (I say 'he', DD's Ivan is actually a girl, Mummy Rabbit) and ages gently (is 'real' a la Velveteen Rabbit). Medium size is best.

DontCallMeBaby · 28/11/2007 15:26

I'll just try that link again.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 28/11/2007 15:28

K's Kids' Ivan rabbit

You need two lots of brackets.

frothykindofadrink · 28/11/2007 15:28

they are just going to end up with sacks of them

DontCallMeBaby · 28/11/2007 15:28

And now it doesn't work. I give up. K's Kids Ivan -> Google.

dd1 has a dog with floppy ears and has always ALWAYS played with the tail when tired, like from newborn

and now when I read her bedtime story, she plays with it between her fingers, so cute

I would get something that can be replaced if lost if possible

TheAnticodCod · 28/11/2007 15:35

and neither link works

  1. ears are a must
  1. pleasant epxression
OP posts:
TheAnticodCod · 28/11/2007 15:36

ears

expresison

tail

rules out rabbits then

where do you stand on the bean bag filling/

hunkermunker · 28/11/2007 15:38

DS1's Bear is the ultimate cuddly, imo.

Hang on, there was a pic on here when he lost it

hunkermunker · 28/11/2007 15:40

Balls, MN taken all pics off!

SpawnChorus · 28/11/2007 15:40

If you must get a cuddly, why not get a taggie blanket thing. Babies do lurve those silky labels, and I wanted one, but could never justify spending £££ on a blanket with lots of labels.

(They will get about eleventybillion stuffed toys btw)

oliveoil · 28/11/2007 15:50

my friend had one of those blankets for her baby, good idea imo

the only cuddly my DS has paid the slightest interest in is a beanie baby cat, I thing the bean bag body is what sold it to him, he squishes the body. Most of the cuddlies given to him collect dust on a shelf...
