I was in Baby Gap today and saw a great bargain - a large canvas baby change bag, three different pattens to choose from,( plain, pretty and stripe) complete with changing mat, down from £48.00 to £6.99. I don't know anyone - in the real world at least - who has just given birth, or would need a baby changing bag, but I thought it was such a good bargaian, I'd tell you about it here. These bags were in the Bluewater branch of Baby Gap, but are probably availablr elsewhere.

Here's a suggestion, news of any other bargains we see could be posted here as and when.

Order free flowers for Christmas from Daisys2roses - you just pay 4.99 P&P. Also some other arrangements are half price at the moment.

Kathleen · 02/11/2002 22:54

Sorry but I cannot access Daisys2roses with that link. It comes up that page cannot be displayed. Help please!

SueDonim · 03/11/2002 06:01

Okay, I'll have another bash. Daisys2Roses

SueDonim · 03/11/2002 06:02

It's working from my end, now. HTH.

Superdrug are having 10% of everything on Tuesday (bonfire night) and I've been told that their baby sleeping bags at £4.99 are excellent.

Willow2 · 03/11/2002 11:13

If anyone uses waitrose they're doing a delivery deal at the moment where if you spend £75 you get £10 off - and you can do 5 orders and get £10 off each time.

charliesmummy · 04/11/2002 00:43

Thank you Willow2 - brilliant - I use Waitrose far too much - they owe me!

Mo2 · 04/11/2002 09:04

I have a tip off from a friend who works there that Fri 8th Nov (this Fri) will be one of Debenhams Blue Cross sale /+ extra 10% off days... (they normally only announce them 1 day in advance)

Yes Superdrug have just introduced a new range of baby stuff and the sleeping bags are supposed to be excellent - so good that they are out of stock virtually everywhere already! They are in the Funny Bunny range and cost £4.99. Mums on another message board have been raving over them and say that they are of comparable quality to grobag type sleeping bags. (I wonder if they do one to fit a wriggly 3 year old?)

leese · 04/11/2002 19:03

Just in cse anyone is after a PAYG mobile phone (I've finally succumbed to the mobile revolution), the virgin mobile nokia 3310 is £49.98 on jungle.com (most other places it's about £70 - £80). Comes with free rucksack and £20 worth of airtime. Bargain!

janh · 04/11/2002 20:09

Thanks, leese! My DD2 needs a new phone (her old one is falling apart, dunno what she's done to it) and we found a good deal at Carphone Warehouse on Sky for the same price but with only £5 talk time - yours is much better!

leese · 05/11/2002 19:34

janh - did you manage to get one? I was a bit slow off the mark, and they'd all gone by the time I'd ordered - typical! What were Carphone Warehouse offering?

janh · 05/11/2002 22:04

leese - no, we were too slow too - the ad did say "while stocks last".

Carphone Warehouse on Sky had the same phone with Virgin for £50 - or was it £40 - not sure, with £5 calls included, with a £20 trade-in (didn't specify what you had to trade in but assumed it was any old phone, even a broken one.) That was on Sunday and we didn't do that one yet either (diff of opinion over who exactly is paying for it!) but they usually have something good.

Boots are doing 3 for the price of 2 on baby clothes at the mo.

PamT · 06/11/2002 13:14

Oh Bron, I'm sorry! I really didn't imagine it, they are in a flyer that came round advertising the 10% day yesterday. They were the sleeveless type that you fasten the baby into and should have been with the Funny Bunny range of baby goods. The other board that I use has had quite a few mums buying them and equally as many who haven't been able to get hold of them.

Bozza · 06/11/2002 13:49

I looked at Superdrug in Meadowhall yesterday and no luck (re sleeping bags that is).

SoupDragon · 07/11/2002 08:23

It's Debenhams Christmas Spectacular today - up to 25% off everything in store and up to 20% off online.

Demented · 15/11/2002 08:02

Our Asda has just reduced all their Action Man stuff. The motorbike one was about £18.00 and the one with the dolphin about £14.00.

Joe1 · 15/11/2002 17:47
