I was in Baby Gap today and saw a great bargain - a large canvas baby change bag, three different pattens to choose from,( plain, pretty and stripe) complete with changing mat, down from £48.00 to £6.99. I don't know anyone - in the real world at least - who has just given birth, or would need a baby changing bag, but I thought it was such a good bargaian, I'd tell you about it here. These bags were in the Bluewater branch of Baby Gap, but are probably availablr elsewhere.

Here's a suggestion, news of any other bargains we see could be posted here as and when.

a NCT Nearly New Sale is on Saturday in SE London, bargains galore apparently - never been to one before though, so wouldn't know!

hiphop · 19/06/2003 14:07

NCT sales - always good - lots of 'names' clothes ( not clothes with owners names in them!! but Boden/ Gap/ Osh Kosh etc)

verona · 19/06/2003 16:58

If it's the NCT sale in Lewisham you're referring to it's a toy and equipment sale - no clothes.

SueW · 19/06/2003 17:22

Oxfam igh St Ken had some good bargains in on Saturday in the children's section. Almost like going to an NCT sale!

Baby Annabel is £19.99 in the Argos sale.

LIDL currently have a walkie-talkie set which also does text messages, they look just like mobile phones, bright red with an extendable aerial, for £9.99. (They use those 9v batteries though so not cheap to run.) The voice part isn't very loud but they seem to be good quality.

Does anyone know of any good online sales at the mo. Sad person that I am, I have started preparing for Christmas early and I'm in a spending mood!

lalaa · 16/07/2003 20:48

Boden online sale is on but that probably won't help you with Xmas shopping!

runragged · 16/07/2003 22:13

Angiel, I am sooo sad because I have to confess to having bought all but a few of my christmas presents (about 30 in total - hide my head in shame!) Today I bought a Barbie phone from Argos reduced from £30 to £10. Have to confess to actually having bought two :0 - can't resist a bargain. Definately not worth £30 but a good tenner. Have given dd hers as she had been promised a present and she LOVES it. It phones her up and leaves messages if you don't pick up. I'm not all that impressed but if a 3 year old loves it that's what counts.

Bossanova · 17/07/2003 02:25

McCord have got a sale on their site with some good bargains. I bought one of those puppet show thingies for £12.80. Looks like things are selling out fast though.

thebabycatalogue.com are selling the Britax Rock-a-Tot in Burberry fabric for only £40 at the moment. They also have lots of other great bargains, and seem to be adding things to their clearance sale every few days - definitely one to keep an eye on!

bundle · 22/07/2003 13:52

has anyone seen an Avent breast pump in a sale lately? I'm sure I saw some a while back for half price and I appear to have lost mine, between having dd1 and dd2..thanks.
