I was in Baby Gap today and saw a great bargain - a large canvas baby change bag, three different pattens to choose from,( plain, pretty and stripe) complete with changing mat, down from £48.00 to £6.99. I don't know anyone - in the real world at least - who has just given birth, or would need a baby changing bag, but I thought it was such a good bargaian, I'd tell you about it here. These bags were in the Bluewater branch of Baby Gap, but are probably availablr elsewhere.

Here's a suggestion, news of any other bargains we see could be posted here as and when.

I've recently bought a Maclaren Opus Duo (as seen in the 'find the best'section) for £99.50 including postage(to most areas) from a site called www.Kiddicare.com .
It's in their january sale so if you want one you had better be quick. I'm in Surrey/south London and delivery took just 2 days.

Just been looking on the Jojo Maman & Baby website . They've got some excellent stuff in the sale. Loads under £10. Ordered some lovely olive green moleskin maternity trousers for £5! And no postage to pay either

EmmaTMG - I can recommend Kiddicare's prices (never used their website though) they always have lots of bargains, I lived in Peterborough when I had ds and bought all our baby stuff from there.

clucks · 04/02/2003 13:47

Bron and Clucks.....(and Pamina!!)
I ordered the olive trousers.....was so so excited at the prospect of decent trousers.....and then my friend explained how she worked out they were out of stock...came to visit and burst my bubble!!!
I wrote to JOJO to complain about their ordering procedure...think it is crap that they can make you enter Credit card details etc for nothing....they wrote back and said they are looking at their website....in the meantime I am very unhappy!!!
Marz!

I agree about mmjjbb's system. I had to wait 4 weeks for an order then was told when some of the stuff arrived that the rest of the order was sold out! Rubbish way of working IMO...

Got to agree about JOJO - my olive torusers are out of stock too. I was so looking forward to being comfy and smart. Going on holiday on Friday and no time to get anything else delivered now. Sharn't bother with them again.

TONKAJOYCE · 13/02/2003 16:26

thanks for the advice on John Lewis discount - just got my order in before the deadline, ended up being the cheapest place for Holly's new grogbag!

Rhiannon · 13/02/2003 17:18

just bought 4 toddler T-shirt pack from Tescos for only £8 - seems good quality (pink, lilac, white, mint)

bayleaf · 06/05/2003 20:30

Yes Grommit - I get a pack every season - they are very good value!

jodee · 06/05/2003 23:13

Grommit, do they come in 'boy' colours as well?

RockingRosebud · 23/05/2003 11:19

Any Coca Cola fans out there?

Big bargain at Somerfield they are doing 3 packs of 6 cans of Coke/Diet/Lemon for £3.00.

So you get 18 cans for £3 that works out 17p a can even cheaper than Costco!

I now have 180 cans stacked in my hall! Sent DH on a mission this morning.

Lennie · 27/05/2003 13:48

Boots are currently doing 500 points when you spend $20 (sorry, pound sign not working) on baby stuff. Excludes first formula, but does include follow on stuff

RockingRosebud · 19/06/2003 13:16
