Had some Boots points to spend and had read about some new Estee Lauder anti ageing products, so got them with my points.
I bought Estee Lauder's "Perfectionist" correcting duo for face and lips. There's a face serum and then a cream for the lips.
I haven't used the serum yet, but had a go with the lip cream - OMG - there's a particular "line" I've had at the side of my mouth for ages (it was the first line I ever got Grin)- it disappeared within a few minutes of application - I kid you not.
It's £30 for this set (I used points I had saved).
I am stunned by the results.
I don't know if you can ask for a sample before buying, or at least try the lips cream and serum at the counter.

So does it improve your skin long-term, or just for the few hours before it wears off?

oops here comes another wrinkle

puff · 21/03/2006 15:41

well..........i've only had it a few days, but, it has a fairly immediate noticeable effect which lasts for say 3 hours, then after that, I can see eg the small wrinkle by my mouth again, until I reapply the stuff in the evening. It's supposed to have a cumulative effect, but I can't give a view on that yet as it's early days. On my face, lines have definitely disappeared, albeit temporarily and I think they are less defined overall so far.

Estee Lauder isn't cheap, and the little sample bottle is def worth trying.

Has anyone else tried things in the Estee LAuder range. Had a look today and was given the sales speil but the assistant did have gorgeous skin (and wasn't in her twenties either). Very expensive though so don't want to waste more money.

OK Puff I was passing Boots today (unusual for me to be out! but had a job in town) and I nipped in and bought this stuff!
What am I like, just on yr rec!
It better be good Wink will report back.

I got the little sample bottle from tjat website and it does work but like you said it doesn't last and when it wears off it is even worse because you had looked so much better before! Not sure it can be cumulative as I don't have enough to try it but am tempted to get it just for the big frown line between my eyebrows

Just been down to the post office to pick up my order (was out when they tried to deliver- got a huge bottle of perfume too so wouldn’t fit through the letter box!!)
Well impressed – I was kind of expecting the sample bottle to be a sachet, but no, it’s a little 4ml pump action bottle.
The stuff is certainly working for me. Skin feels really soft and smooth where applied too – Think I will get the 30+ quid bottle after all.
Thanks Puff – saviour of the over 30’s skin Grin – oh, ok over 40 then!

ooh, missed these posts!

Ok, my long term view on this stuff is that the lip cream is great - I've been using it all over my face and it has an immediate effect and I think a longer term one - the lines definitely look softer overall, lots of comments about how well I am looking.

Clary - are you using enough? It's quite thick, so may not spread well if there isn't enough on the brush tip.

oops, serum good too - the effect of it is less "immediate" but it's good. I will be buying more.

Are these products o.k to use in Pregnancy?

orangina · 17/04/2006 10:17

Oooh, I went to Selfridges on saturday and popped in to the estee lauder stand to take a look at this.... and for anyone who is interested in buying some (or anything else by estee lauder), they have a brow bar where a brow shape costs £17.50, but it is refundable against the cost of any purchase...
Free brow shape with every purchase in other words! Grin I had just had my brows shaped at the benefit brow bar, so didn't take them up on their offer....
