Had some Boots points to spend and had read about some new Estee Lauder anti ageing products, so got them with my points.
I bought Estee Lauder's "Perfectionist" correcting duo for face and lips. There's a face serum and then a cream for the lips.
I haven't used the serum yet, but had a go with the lip cream - OMG - there's a particular "line" I've had at the side of my mouth for ages (it was the first line I ever got Grin)- it disappeared within a few minutes of application - I kid you not.
It's £30 for this set (I used points I had saved).
I am stunned by the results.
I don't know if you can ask for a sample before buying, or at least try the lips cream and serum at the counter.

My forehead is quite smooth - some very fine lines

Do have slightly deeper lines between brows and it made a noticeable difference to these

I have a frown line between my eyebrows that puts the grand Canyon to shame .... reckon it's worth a try Wink

Mum2OneAndOneMore · 16/03/2006 21:07

I am still young but if i start on this stuff now do you think i will miss out on the lines ?? Wink

Sounds fantastic

UlyseesEggsAndEatsThem · 16/03/2006 21:08

Will be going to boots tomorrow as in town. Got a lot of points to use too. cheers puff x

Whizzz · 16/03/2006 21:23

Whats the best for fine lines around eyes then.. not that I have any, you understand Grin

puff · 16/03/2006 22:43

this serum makes a difference (not sure if it's supposed to be for the eye area but I slapped it on anyway)

This duo is quite good value because the lip cream is £24 to buy on it's own.

Should be on commission for Estee!

its Puff.
Errant apostrophe tsk tsk

Pah,save yer dough.
Avon is the bizzzz.

puff · 16/03/2006 23:00

naughty me

what do you recommend from Avon md?

I haven't seen an Avon lady for years - is it all online now?

OP posts:
moondog · 17/03/2006 16:19

Puff,am always banging on about Avon on MN!
(Knew the errant ap. had to be a typo-unthinkable that a woman of your calibre would commit such a heinous crime....)

I only bought some stuff to enter the spirit of things (a girl I know flogs it). I'd never seen it for years either.Their Anew range is very very good-day cream, night cream, serum and peel off mask. Costs next to nothing either(and I've always had something extra free and the vendor gets 25% of whatever you spend) which gets you thinking about what a rip off the whole cosmetics game is

quanglewangle · 17/03/2006 20:04

Drat, the Boots I went to don't do Estee Lauder!!!!
Now I'll go irreversibly wrinkly before I can get to a bigger Boots.... Shock

Ulysees · 18/03/2006 19:00

Our Boots didn't have it Sad

mancmum · 21/03/2006 10:26

puff so a few days on how is this working out -- still convinced it is worth a go... am looking about 390 so will rush out to trafford centre at lunch if you think it worth it!

puff · 21/03/2006 10:32

It's good mancmum - I'm using it religiously twice a day, because I can see results. It doesn't make all lines disappear, but has had a very noticeable affect on some. I'n really pleased with it and will be buying more. This starter set is a good introduction.

Caligula · 21/03/2006 10:32

Does it have anything dangerous in it that has a long term effect of peeling off your skin or something?

Does it have the same stuff as haemorrhoids cream (how d'you spell that)? Someone (on here) said piles cream are the best for wrinkles, but I've never had the front to buy it!

Kelly1978 · 21/03/2006 10:33

I need something! Is it workign on your eyes? I've had conjunctivitis, and my eyes look awful and now I can see really bad lines. I'm only 27 but they are all crinkly and look like an old womans. Sad

puff · 21/03/2006 10:38

My skin hasn't peeled using it {grin] - it feels fine

I've been using the serum around my eyes and it is definitely having an effect. There might be a specific eye product in the range, which I will definitely buy once I've finished this starter set.

I don't have any really deep lines on my face, luckily, but this is softening ones between my brows, fine lines around eyes and of course that first line that appeared at the side of my mouth about 5 years ago!

Kelly1978 · 21/03/2006 10:42

how many mls did you get for your £30?

puff · 21/03/2006 10:44

The lip stuff comes in a pen - not sure how much, but will last a long time and on it's own normally retails at £24.00

The serum - 15ml intro size, but a little goes a long way as yyou use it on specific areas

Kelly1978 · 21/03/2006 10:50

Right, I'm off to ebay. Thanks. Smile

mancmum · 21/03/2006 10:54

thx puff -- off to trafford centre in 2 hours to buy all I can get my wrinkly hands on!

Kelly1978 · 21/03/2006 10:56

They seem to be cheaper on ebay.
