Great! Sorted
I am very happy now.

I just hope dh doesn't think that I think that he's turning into his dad. (Who would love a sub to The Cricketer, but we buy him a sub to an Arsenal mag instead!)

Will look out for cricket top trumps too. Where have you seen them? (Ottakars? Woolworths?..) Dh keeps trying to interest the boys in cricket, but they're not really bothered.

foxinsocks · 12/12/2005 20:22

saw them in Borders in Kingston today (but imagine Ottakars would probably have them aswell)

roisin · 12/12/2005 20:26

We don't have Borders
.. or anything approaching a remotely decent bookshop.
Tiny poxy Ottakars with illiterate staff doesn't count. But they might have cricket Top Trumps!

peckarollover · 12/12/2005 20:30

He isnt in retail as such but in advertising with some retail with upmarket housey stuff.

he likes cricket, good quality booze, no foody stuff he is fussy and diabetic

thecattleareALOHing · 12/12/2005 20:49

Hub2dee recommended good whisky site and I have purchased for dh - and then he told me he wanted whisky for Christmas! Spooky!
I gave him Private Eye years ago and it is the best present EVER as you can just renew it every year as another present. Easy and dh so looks forward to it.
Cashmere jumper good. I once bought a boyfriend a large cactus and he was SO pleased. It looked like a cartoon one.
Old ladies like drawer liners and perfume IME. We did well for the MIL at TK Maxx

thecattleareALOHing · 12/12/2005 20:50

Clothes excellent presents for dhs as it lets you impose your taste on them.

TheFish · 12/12/2005 20:58
