Good Jools, that's your table present sorted

NomDePlumPudding · 12/12/2005 14:10

I'd say naff, np, sorry. I guess it dependson the perfume selection - Jo Malone, yes. Tweed/Charlie Red, NO !

handlemecarefully · 12/12/2005 14:10

NomdePlume - , lol!

re the mini perfume selection - I'm trying to think what I would feel if I received them. I think I'd be quite happy with the gift - a good way of sampling new presents. Might be tempted to give them to a friend with a box of belgain chocs too, to make it look more...

nailpolish · 12/12/2005 14:11

estee lauder selection ie pleasures, beautiful

might just have to give it to aunt

NomDePlumPudding · 12/12/2005 14:11

Got an iTunes voucher for 21 year old nephew in law and a vuvher for a manicure at a local spa for 23 year old niece in law

handlemecarefully · 12/12/2005 14:12

I meant sampling new perfumes

nailpolish · 12/12/2005 14:12

thanks hmc

might get the gordon ramsay chocs - yummmmm

GingerBearingGifts · 12/12/2005 14:12

Poo! I have bought a bear n bubble bath combo from DD to give to her aunties. Bad choice?

mazzystar · 12/12/2005 14:13

husband, early thirties, thinks he's trendy but isn't
have set arbitrary miserable limit of £20
help?

NomDePlumPudding · 12/12/2005 14:13

I meant voucher - Doh !

HMC -

EL perfumes are quite 'young' so I'd give it to your mate. Whenever I think of those sorts of things I always imagine the ones you get from Superdrug or Argos with horrid cat wee reject stuff in them.

nailpolish · 12/12/2005 14:15

the box is quite cool, ndp

shouldnt have bought it

will give it to her with chocs

welshboris · 12/12/2005 14:15

Mazzystar, aftershave or cufflinks?? Or a cool cd? Kaiser chiefs of coldplay

Glitterygook · 12/12/2005 14:16

Mazzystar - you could get him a t-shirt - Firetrap, Ted Baker or something. Might be £25 rather than £20 though.

handlemecarefully · 12/12/2005 14:17

Re your dh mazzystar - does he like sport? I've got my dh a ticket for England v Sri Lanka cricket game in the Southampton Bowl (although at £40 it is twice your original budget - just depends how firm you are on that budget)

Is there a sporting fixture he would enjoy?

SueW · 12/12/2005 14:18

Don't all nick mini Moet idea - I stocked up last week at Sainsburys (6.49 for 200ml bottle) Sainsbo's also have pearlised gift bag perfect size to put it in (another 1.49).

NomDePlumPudding · 12/12/2005 14:18

NP, I'm sure it's great. I wouldn't worry about the chocs TBH.

TheFish · 12/12/2005 14:18

hmc

Really Fish?

What a coincidence (although not that much of one I guess with you living up the road and all that)

Any other thoughts for my 38 yr old SIL? Malory's suggestion of NT membership is good, but I suspect she may already have this...

Mincepiedermama · 12/12/2005 14:20
  1. My 37 year old brother (city type financial sort of bloke) and his pregnant 27 year old Brazilian fiance who've recently set up home together.
  1. My sociopathic, TV addicted mum who likes to reside in the dark side of things.

  2. My nearly four year old son who'd love nothing more than princess stuff, high heels and glitter, but who is being gently encouraged to pursue other directions at the moment. (It's not working currently).

Glitterygook · 12/12/2005 14:20

Thanks Sue

SueW · 12/12/2005 14:21

I've had a perfume selection as pressie before - great for trying new scents but crap as a 'picked-it-up-at-duty-free-at-end-of-bus-trip-cos-I-forgot-it-was-your-birthday' present....
