What do you think?

Well, yes of course!

MascaraOHara · 19/09/2005 16:40

See, now I don't know anyone in RL that doesn't love Tiffany's but I'm yet to be convinced (not that I have a piece)

Please explain it to me. Now I like it - don't get me wrong - I'm jus t not sure what all the hype is about

Have you been into Tiffany's? Oooooo, I have

dropinthe · 19/09/2005 16:41

Getting very bored with the heart necklace/bracelet look! Am sure I could sport some of their diamonds with style now!!!

Roobie · 19/09/2005 16:43

I'm a sucker for their silver stuff - I love the website
here

northerner · 19/09/2005 16:43

Yes!

Roobie · 19/09/2005 16:44

And one mustn't say Tiffany's you know ....it's strictly Tiffany

MascaraOHara · 19/09/2005 16:47

And in designer jewelery - what's the alternative?

OP posts:
MascaraOHara · 19/09/2005 16:53

and another thing - why would you want one of those bracelets that advertises where you got it from? is it the Chav of Jewelry? Is it destined to end up in the same shape as Burberry?

YKWIM? the ones with Tiffany &Co... engraved round them

OP posts:
dropinthe · 19/09/2005 16:57

Most deffo-I class it as chav already-you get so many fakes on the market as well!

dillydally · 19/09/2005 16:58

I think some people who buy from tiffany prefer the boxes and the carrier bags to the bling itself.

Obviously I am a Van cleef & Arples girl myself

MascaraOHara · 19/09/2005 16:59

nobody shoot me but whenever I see someone wearing the heart I think 'bet that's an Argos one'

OP posts:
Enid · 19/09/2005 17:25

but the proper stuff is lovely (its just the cheapy stuff that is chav)

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 19/09/2005 17:28

my SIL bought herself a tiffany key ring in new york when they were on their honeymoon - £85 for a KEYRING! She wont even take it out the box!!!

fimac1 · 19/09/2005 17:48

Have been bought two items from Tiffanys - the chain on the necklace broke and the ring (silver) snapped

And - the necklace is the Heart one - which is not that designer-ish anymore

fairydust · 19/09/2005 19:38

i love tiffany stuff have a nice list of things i want from santa

Mojomummy · 19/09/2005 19:48

Yes, I've got the gold heart necklace - it's lovely, nice, small, neat & of course expensive gosh, am I a chav now ?

MascaraOHara · 19/09/2005 21:05

I just don't get it, I was looking at the diamond rings yesterday and nothing really jumped out at me. I've never really understood the hype round it.

What's the equivalant?

OP posts:
coldtea · 19/09/2005 21:08

i like their jewellery too

Thomcat · 19/09/2005 21:15

Put it this way, if DP proposed with a Tiffany's ring I'd be well happy!

Yes I like Tiffanys, don't know why, I just do.
I've bought a few presents from there and I have the small heart on a chain (don't wear it now though) and the solid heart earings and a long silver bar pendant with the hallmarks running down it on one side.

aloha · 19/09/2005 21:16

I turned down a very nice Tiffany engagement ring once. Ah well.

Thomcat · 19/09/2005 21:16

And yes their packaging rocks, much like Jp Malones does, I'm as into the packaging as I am the jewellrey!

Thomcat · 19/09/2005 21:17

Did you Aloha, LOL!

Thomcat · 19/09/2005 21:18

I meant JO Malones btw.

coldtea · 19/09/2005 21:19

Has anyone had a problem with Tiffany silver jewellery going grey\black?
