Hollywood waxes - male and female opinions

Hey, what are the general consensus on the above? I've had Hollywood waxes for a good few years now. I like the cleanliness of it and my partner likes it. My friend however has said she thinks only strange paedo type men would like this, I completely disagree. She hasn't had a partner for years so these are her feelings with no one else's input. What do others think? I would never say a man who likes it is strange.

I've been having Hollywoods for years. Now the thought of any pubic hair fills me with dread because I have started getting greys!!! My OH loves the clean, hair free look on me too. He shaves his genital area although I never asked him to. So he must do that for himself.

I’ve just started a new relationship a few months ago and before that I had been single for years. I knew if I started a new relationship I’d have to go for the bald look as no way I was getting down and dirty with grey pubes! Thankfully my bf shaves his all off too so works well. Just getting used to it but I think I like it. Feels more sexy for sure I think.

Could it be a generation type issue ? , I’m 50 + M and quite used to seeing trimmed pubes rather than fully shaved.

I’m not keen on the hair free look on men or women, just looks odd to me. Even men who trim make me feel a bit 🤢. I assume it’s an age thing (in 50s and been married 25 years) I can’t think of a single bloke I’ve seen ‘intimately’ who trimmed.

Also think might be an age / TV / SM / trend thing, I’m also in my 50s and as a younger men I can’t recall girlfriends being full hairless.
But saying that I do keep myself neatly trimmed, but not shaven.

previously I would shave and leave a landing strip. However the last 5 years I have been fully waxed. I’m in my 40’s. Married for 15 and my oh couldn’t care less. I just feel better with none

I am a little different - I like a customized Brazilian. Like a little triangle at the front, then everything else off. Been doing it for years - can't stand the feeling of bum hair, and as I book in for the next wax all the time it's great not to have to think about pubes when going swimming etc (I take my dd a lot!).

I love my waxer, she's seen me through two pregnancies and kept me tidy when I can't! I also love the sense of pampering.

pampering? Exposing my genitals and having all the hair ripped out is not my idea of pampering, but each to their own 😂

Removing pubic hair increases infections so that's not good. And pubic hair is a sign of fertility, I think it's weird that there's a fashion to look infertile, I don't want to look any older than I am and getting rid of pubic hair would make me look post-menopausal.

I don't wax or shave pubes. Leave them be. Though I aren't overly hairy.

I rarely do under my arms or my legs either to be honest. Doesn't stop me wearing what I want.

do you trim at all or just leave it be completely?

I leave it completely.

I do admit though I bow to social norms in the summer and do my armpits for sleeveless clothes.

I know it shouldn’t matter but I am very aware that people see it and make comments about it being “disgusting”, and often smelly as well (I’m not, and funny how mens armpit hair isn’t smelly or horrible)

i really can’t see the attitudes towards women’s body hair changing any time soon either.

Maybe But my ex is mid 50s and he prefers clean shaven.

Hollywood always for the last 12 or so years

Can’t stand feeling hairy

I’m jealous yours doesn’t get too crazy, I have to trim every so often

It's a porn led thing, where anal gang rape is now more normalised than a hairy bush, which is now a specific fetish.

Not good, not something you need to join in with.

But then generally women prefer to not have hair under their armpits or legs and that's not porn related. I hate the general upkeep (I swim so can't let if grow wild) and if I was brave enough then a Hollywood would be great! I'd feel cleaner and more comfy

ArcticSkewer · 12/02/2023 22:09

I mostly can't be arsed with the pimply regrowth so I just trim, but I only have a v shape at the front naturally anyway. If I had hair on the whole undercarriage I might feel differently about it

Men don't care, in my experience, until they have been shagging you for a while and the initial excitement at getting any sex at all wears off
