Pubic Hair

With so much talk and discussion out there regarding pubes, it is hard to know what is generally accepted as being the norm these days. I am nearly 50 and have a full bush - what are other peoples ages and are they smooth, trimmed, or full-bush? Would be interested to know if this is a generational thing?

schmalex · 15/01/2022 20:25

I'm early 40s and take it all off.

justustwoandmoo · 15/01/2022 20:38

40 and take it all off x

MissNothing1991 · 15/01/2022 20:43

Thirty and I've always taken it all off. Well, I tell a lie, during my single and inactive times, I tend to get lazy 😂😂😂

Wizzbangfizz · 15/01/2022 20:45

All off for the same reason as @slipperylittlesukker

PaperMonster · 15/01/2022 21:52

I’m 50s and there’s not a cat in hell’s chance it’s all coming off! I hate that feeling. I’m not very hairy anyway but my last two chaps preferred hair to be very much there!

45 and had it all lasered off when laser first became a thing, probably nearly 20 years ago!

Cumbriangal · 15/01/2022 23:59

Waxed every six months,
Since turning 45 it's the only way to prevent the feeling I've stuck a Brilllo pad down my pants.

mags1862 · 16/01/2022 00:25

65 and shaved clean .

Namechangednorth · 16/01/2022 04:30

Nothing at all. DH would hate it if I wasn't smooth. Must admit I have got very used to being like that and don't like it growing back. Must admit I should look at laser treatment really

StarlightLady · 16/01/2022 05:32

Early 40s, all off for many, many years; late teens l think, l can’t remember.

I don’t do it for anyone else, l do it for me. On occasion l’ve been asked by some people to grow it!

I flit between a quick daily shave in the shower and waxing. Waxing is smoother (avoiding at the moment to minimise Coviid risk) but l often get fed up with the regrowth and get the razor out.

Depilation of pubic hair is nothing new, it was practiced by the Ancient Greeks and Ancient Romans. All part of the bath house services.

CandidClarisse · 16/01/2022 17:01

41 and all off if I know I'm going to be getting action lol

HowManyTimesHaveIToldYou · 16/01/2022 17:12

Man here. Wife early 50s and her's is tidy. She's never had it all removed, which suits me as I really don't like no hair at all

GeorgeOhWell · 16/01/2022 20:35

Chap here. As OP says I wonder if this is a generational thing. When I was in my teens women in the "girlie" mags sported a full bush (I'm sure n my late 50s). A woman with a "shaven haven" (sorry) was rare, or so I was told, and seen as quite racy.

If it hasn't already been done I think there is an academic study on changing fashions in public hair, the influence, if any of porn.

Sunnytwobridges · 17/01/2022 01:34

50 and a full bush- I don’t have time for shaving and all that mess lol

PinotPony · 17/01/2022 10:35

47 and I have a landing strip. I go for a salon wax once a month.

Recently bought a Philips Lumea but not had chance to try it properly yet.

Pushing30 · 17/01/2022 13:44

29 I've always taken it all off.

I would be interested in your experience and whether it works well

51 and wax the edges and trim. My bush is a feminist statement!

StarlightLady · 17/01/2022 19:32

Yet the PP waxes. Please, let’s not start saying one person is more of a feminist than the other based on bush or no bush. My late mother, very much a feminist, would turn in her grave.

And l’m no less of a feminist because l opt to be smooth.

HaggisBurger · 17/01/2022 20:03

Mid forties and v small landing strip. Had it lasered . Then shave once a week too. I like that feeling of v little hair.

DeedIDo · 17/01/2022 20:06

All fell out at menopause and hasn't grown back.

turnaroundtime · 17/01/2022 22:15

Can this happen??? Oh please can this happen to me. Mine seems bigger than ever. I wax all of it off. 54

I was wondering myself how my lack of bush makes me more or less of a feminist than someone else 😂
