Can someone tell me how to give blowjobs?

I'm 37 and I don't know how to do it (my secret is out!!!! snigger, it's true).

I've obviously messed around with it the odd bit. I think the reason I am so ill prepared is I've always preferred penetrative sex to oral and I also love kissing, so by the time the kissing is fully warmed up, it always seems to lead to sex.

I dunno, now I'm 37 it seems ridiculous that I don't really know the technique and I don't know how it feels differently for men if you spit or swallow or stop before they climax. I also had a hang up about it because I don't like the servile performance aspect....but I'm getting over that now and just seeing it as another sexual fun thing to potentially do.

All general info is welcome. (-:

Spitting or swallowing is your personal preference. Don't worry about that.

KeemaNaan · 01/03/2017 16:30
Hmm

No. Really. Get a book. Google it.

TerrorTwilight · 01/03/2017 16:32

It's going to depend on the bloke, tbh. I guess some guys who have learned from porn are going to like that whole hand-wrapped-around, mouth-following-hand thing, but that doesn't do much for me. Not being someone who comes from oral, I prefer it to just be pure sensation and connection: kisses and licks more than anything else.

In short I don't think there's "a way". It's what your partner likes. Ask him. And if you're not seeing anyone but having something more casual - ask then too. But frankly if you start with lots of long slow wet licks, I can't imagine any guy in the world not being putty in your hand. (No. Inappropriate metaphor. Substitute putty for something very hard.)

When I've been with a new partner I've often thought that a half whispered "tell me what you like" is about the sexiest thing there is. Both to hear and to say.

Sorry if TMI. Blush

TerrorTwilight · 01/03/2017 16:33

Not so sure about googling Keema. You're just going to get a load of silly or unpleasant porn.

Every1lovesPatsy · 01/03/2017 16:37

TerrorTwilight thank you, that's helpful.

Why not post in the sex topic?

Or have you lost your copy of Cosmo?

Or are you researching a piece for Cosmo?

HoneyBeeMum1 · 01/03/2017 16:59

I think you should buy a book.

This is the most inappropriate and offensive post I have seen on this website. I do not consider myself to be a prude either.

Hatemylifenow · 01/03/2017 17:01

Yeah ok op.

MamaMagellanic · 01/03/2017 17:01

Why is it offensive?

TileTileTile · 01/03/2017 17:02

I'm sure you can find an instructional video somewhere online Wink

Maudlinmaud · 01/03/2017 17:02

Maybe ask hq to move this to the sex topic.

Haven't been here long then?

BeMorePanda · 01/03/2017 17:04

well you are going to need a grapefruit - see here:

(funny not filthy I promise, though do beware the volume level if you are in the room with others).

And if you enjoyed that there are oodles of reaction videos on YT

StereophonicallyChallenged · 01/03/2017 17:04

Not been here long then Honey?Grin

MumBod · 01/03/2017 17:05

Pretend you have sensitive teeth and you're eating an ice lolly.

HTH

WeAreEternal · 01/03/2017 17:05

Hahahaha. Grin

BeMorePanda · 01/03/2017 17:06

@HoneyBee you might like to reconsider that assessment if you find the OP offensive Grin

@Patsy there is a sex subject for this kind of thing to avoid offending the delicate and titillating the jerks

Nah, we've had exactly the same question before, and others that were worse.
OP, Google, or go to a site like amazon or lovehoney, and order a book.
Whilst we'd love to tell you, second by second, how we do it, our techniques are our specialities and we don't want to give them away.
But 'Ask him what he likes' is good advice. Or, do it, see if he likes it. That's another good approach.

gamerchick · 01/03/2017 17:09

Pretend you have sensitive teeth and you're eating an ice lolly

But some dudes like the use of teeth Wink

passmethewineplease · 01/03/2017 17:09

honeybee you honestly consider this post the most offensive thing you've seen on MN? Shock

OP, you can google, I have before Blush I also didn't get lots of porn pop ups, usually articles from the likes of Cosmo et al.

Fighterofthenightman · 01/03/2017 17:14

You can Google it. There's loads of websites giving sex tips that aren't porn.

Kikikaakaa · 01/03/2017 17:15

Experimentation is really the best way. Don't do it unless you feel comfortable and actually ask - what do you like? Is this nice? Harder? Slower?

The main key is: communication, being in a comfy position, them being clean and if not being dry. Either use saliva or lube!

Kikikaakaa · 01/03/2017 17:15

*it not being dry. If dry, it may be painful

TheNaze73 · 01/03/2017 17:16

Honey, I trust you are being ironic???

amysmummy12345 · 01/03/2017 17:16

Head over to the sex board (pardon the pun). There's already a similar thread on there from recently I think...
