Can someone tell me how to give blowjobs?

I'm 37 and I don't know how to do it (my secret is out!!!! snigger, it's true).

I've obviously messed around with it the odd bit. I think the reason I am so ill prepared is I've always preferred penetrative sex to oral and I also love kissing, so by the time the kissing is fully warmed up, it always seems to lead to sex.

I dunno, now I'm 37 it seems ridiculous that I don't really know the technique and I don't know how it feels differently for men if you spit or swallow or stop before they climax. I also had a hang up about it because I don't like the servile performance aspect....but I'm getting over that now and just seeing it as another sexual fun thing to potentially do.

All general info is welcome. (-:

Tracy Cox wrote a book called Hot Sex which is great. Very readable and full of tips. That work.

HTH

Tbf to the OP isn't it the case that you can't post on the Sex topic until you've been about for a bit? Relationships seems the next best place.

AlwaysSpellingMyName · 01/03/2017 17:34

I refused to give them with previous partners. I guess I was embarrassed that I would get it wrong. I was also with a fucking jerk who didn't deserve my time let alone a blowjob or sex

Now I want to give them (to DH not fucking jerk). Personal preference is we shower together then I surprise him by dropping to my knees. I'm comfortable enough with DH to ask what he likes, wants me to do etc.

HoneyBeeMum1 · 01/03/2017 17:56

I have been around for a while and married for twenty years, so I am not ignorant of what goes on in private, but it should remain private in my opinion.

The OP's post is not in itself offensive, but she (or he) is inciting contributors to post explicit responses. 'She' is (apparently) 37 for goodness sake. If she genuinely does not know by now, 'she' never will.

I find it interesting how quick some contributors are to accuse people of being lazy newspaper reporters or aspiring writers with absolutely no justification (I have been a victim of such accusations), but fail to see this for what it probably is, i.e. a lonely saddo or a writer for some sordid website.

This is the computer-age equivalent of the sad old git who would make anonymous phone calls to women and breathe heavily or ask them the colour of their underwear.

FannyWisdom · 01/03/2017 18:00

Don't chew.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 01/03/2017 18:02

Sex topic is this way --->

gamerchick · 01/03/2017 18:18

have been around for a while and married for twenty years, so I am not ignorant of what goes on in private, but it should remain private in my opinion

And yet you clicked on it anyway? It's not one of those vague titles that don't tell you the content. If you don't want your eyes scandalised then yanno... Confused

Hmm
TerrorTwilight · 01/03/2017 18:25

honey careful, if you clutch those pearls any harder, you'll break them.

HoneyBeeMum1 · 01/03/2017 19:20

That there is a dedicated section of the forum where contributors may seek advice of an intimate nature should be apparent to anyone who has taken the trouble to familiarise themselves with the site.

I therefore conclude that the original post was disingenuous and intended to elicit intimate disclosures from guileless contributors.

The posts mocking my concern seem to have deterred further direct responses to the original post. Whether or not this was an intended consequence, I am content with the outcome.

At least the 37 year old 'Patsy' now knows where to go if 'she' is still genuinely in need of advice.

Desperina · 01/03/2017 19:21

It depends on the man . Ex bf used to love gentleish mouth on top, hand jerking the base, get a nice rhythm going, and finally the other hand on the balls then blam.

Bf loves the be literally sucked, quite hard, like enough to make weird vacuum noises if it slips out. He's not so keen on any hands being involved. Doesn't mind teeth either ¯\(ツ)/¯. Balls seem to be quite man specific, as do teeth.

My best advice is (a) talk to your dude in a lot lighthearted way during your oral time about how he likes it (b) don't be afraid to be A LOT rougher with him/it than you would want for yourself.

Desperina · 01/03/2017 19:23

Wow everyone needs to chill out Hmm

HoneyBeeMum1 · 01/03/2017 19:23

Thank you for your concern Terror, but today is Wednesday - diamond and sapphire day. The pearls are perfectly safe until Friday.

HoneyBeeMum1 · 01/03/2017 19:26

Oh Desperina... Blush

Whisky2014 · 01/03/2017 19:28

Every guy I've given a bj to has said it's been the best ever. Not telling my secret ;)

TwentyCups · 01/03/2017 19:32

Just go on private browsing if you do.

One of my most embarrassing moments was lending my laptop to an ex's brother and watching my previous search pop up On the screen - 'how to make a man cum through oral'....

AddALemon · 01/03/2017 19:35

First approach on all fours growling like a dog, then insert into your mouth give it a fee chews nudge it with your nose and ta daa HTH Wink

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 01/03/2017 20:34

Hi there,
We have had quite a few reports suggesting that this is the sort of thing that we invented the Sex topic for and we're inclined to think they're right, so we're moving it over there now.

BorisJohnsonsHair · 01/03/2017 20:38

Come on Whisky, you can't just leave it at that ...

Every1lovesPatsy · 02/03/2017 12:19

Ha ha ha...some people thing this is disingenuous! That's funny. I can confirm: I am female (not sure why that matters), I am 37 and I don't have a bj technique and I am not a writer of any type and don't consider myself a lonely saddo.

Thanks for the advice. For the people that are unimpressed with the question....this type of reaction is why people like me have hang ups about bjs. Why is it taboo to talk about it?

OP posts:
BeMorePanda · 02/03/2017 12:28

@HoneyBee Coming onto a thread where the OP/thread title offends you so deeply, to simply share your outrage and disgust is disingenuous in itself, and very "Thread police" too. Not cool.

The thread title was very clear and it is within your power to simply ignore it or hide the thread if you found the subject matter so offensive. No need to come on and lecture everyone.

Hissy · 02/03/2017 13:34

And for OP's next thread:

How do I walk and chew gum at the same time?

Seriously it ain't rocket science...

Hint: You don't blow...

🙄

Every1lovesPatsy · 02/03/2017 14:15

Its really weird how hostile people are.

It's no more of an obvious question than "What is smart casual clothing?" or half of the other questions/titles in the Active feed.

Weird.

OP posts:
Littleballerina · 02/03/2017 14:25

I don't understand all of the horror at the thread. It's been asked many times on mn usually by posters who like the op want to try something that they haven't done before.
Not everyone grew up giving blow jobs behind the bus shelter Honey.
Op, go to search and type in blow jobs.

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 02/03/2017 14:37

Put it in your mouth.

If he criticises your technique at any point, bite down hard. They love that.
