Cleaty, are you saying that the much higher prevalence of female/female action is actually pandering to the male gaze ?

I would not be surprised about that.

suzannecaravaggio · 10/12/2015 11:06

chemsex and swinging are NOT the same thing suzanne, even I know that and i've never been swinging in my life

There are similarities though, NSA group sex with strangers with the addition of drugs to act as extra lubricant
I gather from pps that alcohol is available at swinging parties drugs alcohol, all intoxicants used recreationally

Sounds to me as if chemsex is a subset of swinging, just like dogging is a subset of swinging

suzannecaravaggio · 10/12/2015 11:11

The common denominator, the key element, is group sex
I dont think there's anything inherently wrong with group sex

goodcompany2 · 10/12/2015 11:12

cleaty yep lots of women are bi, but it's certainly not required. lol. Have chatted to couples that state very clearly at the outset that they are not bi, or one is but other isn't. Think men are much less likely to 'fess up to being bi. At the clubs the male bi stuff seems to go on behind the doors of the locked rooms. Never seen it happen unfortunately.

and yes it may be pandering in a way. If I'm going to kiss someone and I have a choice between two people and I fancy both, but I know my BF will be more turned on by watching me kiss a woman rather than the man of the couple, I'm happy to indulge him and me. I enjoy turning him on.

After discussing at much length whether I would be jealous of him with another woman (thought I would) and him absolutely saying I could do whatever I want with anyone because he had no such hang up, we started out with only inviting another man into a room.

Since then I have shared him with other couples and women and know now that I'm not jealous. So that is no longer one of our limits. Given he now has carte blanch to go 'all the way', surprisingly he has yet to do that despite many opportunities! Where as I have notched up quite a few new experiences!

Clubs tend to have a very strict no drugs policy tho alcohol is ok. ( chewing gum is also banned just out of interest, as are shoes on beds!)

suzannecaravaggio · 10/12/2015 11:23

I'm curious to know how much the tickets are to these events, do men and women pay the same and what is the proportion of men to women?

goodcompany2 · 10/12/2015 11:27

ImperialBlether nothing is 'banned'; personal choices. can't imagine anyone in their right mind double dipping! I would not and can't imagine any guy being so stupid as to try. People are generally educated about safe sex and don't want to labelled as the muppet who needed to be told no!

Wally thanks for the cwtch. The reason I went first time was just to watch. I'd seen porn, TV sex etc but I was so curious to actually see other people actually having sex, for real, just for fun. It was awesome! I just stood staring, couldn't look away. BF laughed at me and we just sat there and watched for ages. It was so horny. The guy was very skinny and the lady was about 15 years his senior and I later noted she had a serious mobility problem - walking not shagging! lol. The most exciting bit was just watching the joy they shared and how totally wrapped up they were in the moment and each other. Nothing like TV sex and a whole lot sexier. Will never forget it or the hours we spent back at our hotel room later with our libidos flying.

suzannecaravaggio typical couples entry is about £25 - £30 per night. Often single ladies are free or a tenner or so. Single men are only allowed in some clubs on one of the weekend nights, or are limited spaces only, some clubs allow them all in (not so nice) and some do not allow any. Depends upon the club itself. New Year's Eve or other events will be more depending upon the club.

Lots of clubs aren't licensed so it's bring your own, but kept behind the bar and served to you by staff. Others are fully licensed.

Destinysdaughter · 10/12/2015 11:34

Prices vary but it can be £25 for couples, £40 for a single bloke and single women often go free. There are sometimes nights where it's couples and single women only or nights where single men are allowed too. It's pretty even, gender wise but when single men are allowed in there's obviously more guys.

Destinysdaughter · 10/12/2015 11:34

X post!

goodcompany2 · 10/12/2015 11:39

At least we have same info - but you are more succinct!

ImperialBlether · 10/12/2015 11:41

Goodcompany, by 'doubledipping' I was referring to the buffet! What on earth were you referring to? Grin

cleaty · 10/12/2015 11:44

Thanks. That is what I thought would be the case. A fair number of women flirting/having sex with women for the benefit of men, but men rarely flirting or having sex with men, if ever, for the benefit of women.
Rather exposes the lie that women are in charge. Sounds like the same old patriarchy. Primarily for the benefit of men, but if women enjoy it too then fine.

suzannecaravaggio · 10/12/2015 11:53

Well I'm glad to hear that its free for single women!

suzannecaravaggio · 10/12/2015 11:57

I imagine that a big part of the thrill is the fact that group sex is transgressive, same for watching / being watched,

so having already been 'pre eroticised' by the situation one might be more open then usual to same sex activity?

AnyFucker · 10/12/2015 12:03

Indeed cleaty. Not even sex clubs get away from that damn patriarchy Xmas Grin

cleaty · 10/12/2015 12:04

That explanation is only applicable if both sexes had the same amount of sex with same sex partners in front of others. That clearly is not the case.
Many women kiss each other or do other sexual activity, to turn on their boyfriends or Husbands. There is nothing transgressive about this. Women having sex with other women with no men present is far more transgressive. Because no men benefit.

goodcompany2 · 10/12/2015 12:11

Recent 'scientific study' concluded nearly all women on bi spectrum but not same for men. Done using scans of brain arousal or some such thing. Honestly think just more women are bi/gay than men maybe???

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 10/12/2015 12:31

Nope, not buying that Wink

Destinysdaughter · 10/12/2015 12:32

I think bi women are over represented at clubs as that is one of the reasons that a woman would want to go to them, to express that part of their sexuality and no they're not doing it for the men! ( not that the men are complaining tho...)

cleaty · 10/12/2015 12:34

Why can't they express that part of their sexuality without the men being present?

laughingatweather · 10/12/2015 12:35

From OPs posts, I think I might know where OP is going.

If I'm right, it's in a little industrial cul de sac in a very standard suburban estate.

I only heard about it via a friend in that scene. I work v . close to there and my colleagues thought I was talking bollocks till I asked them to Google the 'club' and they saw the address!.

I won't name it obviously but even if it isn't that one, I'm sure that 99% plus people living round this one would never know it was there.

I walked past it for months without knowing about it and from its website it must be quite large given all the different 'play rooms' and other areas.

Destinysdaughter · 10/12/2015 13:07

Yes they do tend to be in very nonedescript locations, Chameleons in Birmingham is also literally next door to the local police station!

So, here's a club to redress the patriarchy. ' Club Pedestal' is a
'Woman worshipping' club. It has House Slaves who welcome you with a glass of champagne and a rose when you enter, will get your drinks from the bar, bring round trays of chocs and strawberries, give you a foot massage and any other er, 'services' you may require... Great fun!

www.clubpedestal.com/slaves.html

Enjolrass · 10/12/2015 13:23

destiny so prostitution then?

The men can't say no to a woman who wants servicing?

I don't see that as empowering women. The men who do that job get their kicks out of being a sub.

Sorry but I find that concept really really uncomfortable.

AnyFucker · 10/12/2015 14:09

Nope, not buying that either. In the same way I don't accept that women baying at male strippers in any way atones for the male appetite for female strippers.
