Hi all

It doesn’t look as though one of these threads has been set up yet so I thought I’d do it.

I have a daughter going into year 6 and a son going into year 8 next month - both will be moving to senior school in 2025.

Hope it went well for those with DC's sitting Emanuel, Claremont, the Consortium and LEH over the last few days. We had Emanuel and looking forward to the Consortium exam this Tuesday. The last exam for us!

You may want to delete your message as there will exams on alternative dates

Hopefully schools use different exams for the makeup days.

What, in case people set their daughters up with a quick crash course in Madagascan?

It's the element of knowing that something unusual will come up in the exam. It's the mindset and focus. My DC finds it very helpful knowing that this exam is going to stretch them

Waiting on Ibstock second round results today. Please share if you hear first!

durness · 02/12/2024 12:31

LEH don’t have another exam day as far as I can tell. Just the unbelievably painful crack of dawn on a Sunday job.

I hope you had some good news!

JustInvolved · 02/12/2024 15:21

All the best on Ibstock! LEH was challenging. According to website, ISEB, problem solving paper, school letter, reports will be used to determine if invited. Fingers crossed.

Wlondon14 · 02/12/2024 17:16

@JustInvolved @TwoInARow2020 invited to the second round 😃

CruCru · 02/12/2024 17:17

Ah, what good news!

Congrats! Even getting to 2nd round is a big achievement. Well done to your DD.

NoMoreFalafelForYou · 03/12/2024 19:46

DD got through Ibstock too. It’s a shame they’re doing the exam right at the end of term, would have preferred the beginning of the week or the weekend really. I’m just ready for DD to have Christmassy fun at school now and move on from this process.

Wlondon14 · 04/12/2024 08:11

Good luck to everyone sitting Latymer today. We will probably all be in the same coffee shop.

Wlondon14 · 04/12/2024 08:53

@NoMoreFalafelForYou i could not agree more! Even Monday would have been nice. But at least it isn’t January!

Good luck to your son too! I enjoyed a 12 minute journey to Latymer this morning! I can really recommend Konveni if you are into matcha, they have a good selection of sweet treats too

CruCru · 04/12/2024 09:00

Good luck for Latymer today

Indeed, good luck to everyone doing Latymer today! DD is this afternoon 🤞

Any idea when we hear from Putney? Since the first round was a digital test, I thought the result would be available quite quickly. Unless they wait for references?

Vestibular · 04/12/2024 14:42

Last year the first round was 24 November and the email re second round came on 11 Dec

Gymnogene · 04/12/2024 14:44

Second round results for Sevenoaks are out!

11plus2nd · 04/12/2024 14:49

Thanks and good luck to every one else sitting LUS today. My daughter said Maths was hard and didnt finish nor had time to revisit other questions for double check(often makes silly mistake too).

We are waiting to hear from SPGS 2nd round, and fingers crossed for LUS and Godolphin interviews. No more exam until the new year is a great relief. Wish that SPGS round 2 should have been scheduled sooner too. It has been a lengthy process for a 10 years old.

Vestibular · 04/12/2024 15:29

SPGS drags on and on...

NoMoreFalafelForYou · 04/12/2024 15:45

Thanks Vestibular so I think we’ll hear on Monday next week then if they follow the same time frame.

My ds said the same about math for LU.

it took forever when my dd did it a couple years ago. I think it was after the holidays!

Mine also gave the same feedback on maths. He thought there were way more girls than boys, not sure if that was just in his group, but he seemed to think boys will have a better chance, positive thinking.. bless him😅. We have Kings on Saturday, then Ibstock and WE ARE DONE🎉
