These are the voyages of the GCSE Enterprise. To support our DCs, bemoan exam boards and to boldly go through the last fortnight like no one has gone before!

Physics today. And then one more long week until further maths while everyone is celebrating. Not that I begrudge it, I'd love to be free too.

DD has Chemistry. She's not confident but we'll see.

What a marathon it is. I'm left finding it really strange that this is considered the best way to educate kids.

We're not there yet (further maths next week), but we are hosting the end of exams sleepover tonight for DD's friends.

Younger siblings (twins) fighting over all the revision resources. DD1 much more organised and thorough so they both want her quality stuff (though I hope they will also turn out organised and thorough in the fullness of time...). They're getting the uniform too so no satisfying destruction here!

Last day for us too - hurrah. It's been a long slog and DS is shattered, but the finish line is finally in sight.

My sons is completely disorganised. The school have asked for some study guides back . Most I am dumping tbh

Good Luck everyone! My sons final exam Physics this morning then he's finished! We're going to pick up his new guitar 🎸 for his birthday present which was in the middle of exams 👍so he's so excited 😆 about that.

Things like CGP revision guides unless majorly marked up can either go back to the school if they'll take them (they can be passed on to families on pupil premium) or given to whatever charity shop in your area has the best academic book selection.

DD is off to celebrate this afternoon and evening

It seems odd to think it will all be over in two hours' time.

I am tempted to ask DD what she would have done differently.... but I'll give her a couple of days.

I'm waiting for the posts in 3 week's time where people are either complaining their teen is staying in bed/gaming all day or they are out all the time and they never know what meals to plan for.

Last 2 for DD today (Physics and Geography). Pool party at a friends house later (why did I not have freinds with an actual swimming pool when I was her age !) and then off to spain for 4 days tomorrow to chill at her grandparents.

So much to do before we go though and am working flat out today - must not come on Mumsnet !

She's dazed - I don't think she can quite believe this is the end, but she's already started on her A-Level reading list so I think she's finding herself some structure. Three days off and then 'bridging week' for Sixth Form so she'll be back at school most days!

Physics and Geography for DD this morning. She’s incredibly grumpy because she’s got a cold, she’s too hot and tired from staying up late to revise. Had a mini tantrum in the car as she realised she’d forgotten the presents and cards she’d bought for her favourite teachers and because her friend said she’d already gone in and wasn’t waiting for DD at the end of the road.

Hopefully the exams go well as she’ll need a decent science grade if she decides to do Sport at university and Geography is a possible A Level choice.

Dance on Tuesday, then she’s done - thank goodness!

Last day here as well. I suggested to DD that as it was Physics she didn't really care how it went based on her revision last night and she protested a little that that wasn't true but not sure either of us were convinced!

A lot of her friends don't finish until Mon/Tues next week so I think she's planning on going in then so they can all go into town to celebrate together. Tonight is just a family meal in Pizza Hut.
