@Nowfeeltheneedtopost Some people can afford to go private, and some who can afford it will prefer to use that money for other things. Some don't have it and hope for bursaries, while others don't consider private at all. Every decision carries its own set of worries and stresses for the DC as well as for us, but one thing we all have in common is the best interests of our children.
DS was bullied in his state school so I removed him and he's been flourishing ever since. There's no way I'd put him into a local secondary to meet up with the same bullies again, and we're not in a position to move. So for us there was no other practical possibility.
