SW London boys 11+ 2022 entry

Hi, my DS is in year 5 and we're struggling with not being able to see schools in person. We're having a think about where to apply and at the moment KCL is a favourite geographically but we haven't seen it so don't have a feel for the vibe. We went to see Hampton and KGS before the first lockdown without DS and liked them both. The Emanuel tours booked so quickly when they were released a few weeks ago, I think they are releasing more slots soon. Just wondering if anyone can give us a feeling of the vibe of these schools. Does anyone know what is happening with the headteacher at Kings? They seem to have an acting head at the moment.

I can start breathing again... DS got 4 offers to choose from, 4 more results yet to come.

@11Plus2022 RGS by post. Hampton by email. RGS was 13+ for us.

We are still waiting to hear.
I guess schools are doing one email at a time and people will hear through the day.
Has anyone heard from KCS Wimbledon yet?

We got an offer from Latymer. Now the choice between Hampton (10+) and Latymer - both great schools and so proud of DS.

The only emails I am getting are from mumsnet

KCS are sending offers by email. We should hear by 5pm, hopefully sooner!

Congrats all. We just got a yes from Hampton and SPS (13+). Still waiting for KGS. Shocked and very happy, but none the wiser yet on what is right for DS.

Sunshine6363 - I thought KCS were sending by post? I was assuming having no "we are delighted" letter today meant expect an "unfortunately" letter tomorrow.

Thanks 11plus2022, I am getting all lost with all the school applications/exams.

If anyone else is getting nervous like me from not having heard from any school pls listen to Dr Shefali Tsabary on YouTube - just watched her ‘The Universal Mistake That Parents Make ‘ video. I always listen to her when I start to worry about my son.
Actually really recommend her to everyone here. She absolutely helps us focus on what’s real and what’s not .

@oldmonk it was for Hampton 11+ (Don’t ask, our original selection ideas were seriously flawed we now realise!)

Heard from Kings 11+ . Declined .

Mixed news here. It’s a no from KCS, which was our first choice.

But a yes from RGS with academic scholarship and a yes from Reigate Grammar also with (generous) academic scholarship.

We haven't had an email from Hampton yet, but I went onto the admissions portal and it says Offered under my son's name.

Does anyone know if that means it's a yes? I'm hoping it is, but there isn't an offer letter on the portal.

@stripymum that does sound positive but I would just call to confirm.
