I heard a story about a teacher applying for a job at a grammar school and when he asked a friend to look over the application it was pointed out he'd spelt it wrong. He got the job and a while later was talking to his head of department who was going through a set of job applications, half of which were going straight in the bin. The reason of course being that they'd addressed it to the Grammer School.
