Hi everyone- just that- holding out hope for KGS or Ibstock in particular, but worried it's been a bumper year with the birth rate in SW London. If anyone is certain of which school they are accepting may I beg you in politest way possible to please don't let your other offers just lapse, please tell school if you won't be taking up offer. Similarly let state schools know too if you will be taking up indie place. Thank you from those of us desperate for indie place as worried state allocation will be too far to be practical as not church going and in "black spot" locality!!!Shock

I know FHSS closed their waiting list on 5th March. Don't know about FHRP but heard that there has been little movement this year.

Mots · 09/03/2019 14:21

A friend of DD got a FH place off WL on Wednesday.

SpringtimeUmbrella · 09/03/2019 14:33

Thank you. It's all so tight!

Mots · 10/03/2019 11:34

Another friend got a G&L place on Friday. Maybe there is a bit of movement out there.....

SpringtimeUmbrella · 10/03/2019 11:43

I heard yesterday that some families are still holding two offers (paid two deposits). To give themselves breathing space.

FlumePlume · 11/03/2019 10:48

Spring Surely their child wants to know where they’re going, though? Quite apart from the financial hit. My dd was very keen to finally know where she was going to school, she would have hated any extension of the uncertainty.

SpringtimeUmbrella · 11/03/2019 12:23

Flume They are very happy to have the choice, as are the DDs.

Bool · 11/03/2019 19:06

So mini Bool offered PHS! Things are still moving!

SpringtimeUmbrella · 11/03/2019 19:34

Bool you must be so pleased... We are still hoping for FHS.

Shirim69 · 11/03/2019 19:42

Wow Bool - so she got it after all that Grin. Congratulations to you! I wonder what happened - was someone holding two places maybe?

I’m sure someone will be very happy with the KGS place too!

FlumePlume · 12/03/2019 08:56

Bool Fantastic news, congratulations! I wonder if the 15 March deadline for accepting state school places is focusing people’s minds? Anyway, I’m so pleased for you and your dd.

Mots · 12/03/2019 12:40

@Bool congratulations on PHS. I think the space was prob the friend of mine who released their place over the weekend due to getting G&L on Friday. I am really pleased for you and happy to see movement really happening in real time!

Bool · 12/03/2019 12:53

Thanks all. We have released the KGS place today so hopefully someone else will be happy too. We didn’t need to pay the deposit because of the cooling off period.

Bool · 12/03/2019 12:54

But it is soooo hard indeed relinquishing places at other great schools :-(

waytoomuchmuch · 14/03/2019 12:22

Hello, we were offered a spot at Emanuel last week. Very happy! Glad to see there has been some more offers here off the wait list. Congrats!
