Well things still the same here. Mum holding on, its DS'S birthday so hopefully she lasts through today. But in better new s DS was elected Deputy Head Boy for next year so very proud of him. And a happy thing for this miserable time.

Well done to your DS AuntP and a happy birthday to him.

OddBoots · 22/06/2016 09:06

Thinking of you, your mum and your family AuntP. Congratulations to your ds.

For those doing the Durham open day, I have just seen this thread about a strike there that day. I imagine the open day will go ahead but it may be scaled back a little.

LittleHoHum · 22/06/2016 10:12

Congratulations to your son and happy Birthday to him AuntP.

dd3 has received an e mail from the university about the strike and they have said that the Open Day is still going ahead.

SugarPlumTree · 22/06/2016 11:21

That's flipping brilliant AP, huge congratulations to him and Happy Birthday SmileCake My thought are with you all.

Auntpetunia2015 · 22/06/2016 21:55

DS says thank you for the congratulations and birthday wishes. After he'd said "God mum why are you telling a bunch of strangers stuff ?"

Had a nice meal out with Dd and his girlfriend.

Mums still hanging on. Much weaker and more peaceful her breathing is so shallow you think she's stopped. She told my sister she was dying and sister said yes just let go and stop fighting it. So far she's still fighting though. Just hope it's not today don't want DS forever associating his birthday with her dying.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 22/06/2016 23:54

My DC say that about MN too!

Maybe your Mum is holding on for DS, to see him through his birthday x

SugarPlumTree · 23/06/2016 06:01

DD says much the same about MN too ! I hope she made it into today AP but has let go now.

GypsyFl0ss · 23/06/2016 06:20

Lovely news about your son AuntP.

bigTillyMint · 23/06/2016 08:05

My DC say the same too, despite me having known a number in RL for about 5 years, having met one and one being the DM of an ex-schoolmateGrin

AuntP, thinking of you.

Auntpetunia2015 · 23/06/2016 17:29

Thank you all. Things haven't changed here she's still hanging on. It's horrible you wouldn't let an animal suffer like this Sad

dingit · 23/06/2016 17:45

Aunt P Flowers that's so awful for you. I watched my fil and mil both slip gradually away Sad. I can't even begin to imagine it with my own parents.

SugarPlumTree · 23/06/2016 17:57

So sorry AP Flowers We said exactly those words 3 weeks ago with Mum.

HSMMaCM · 23/06/2016 21:55

We knew my father was dying for 3 days. We said at the time, if he was a pet he would have a more peaceful and planned for end.

Sorry to hear about your Mum, AuntP and that she doesn't suffer too long. Thoughts to you all -it's a miserable thing to go through.

DS1 has finally - finally! - finished his exams today. It was supposed to be yesterday, but he spent 24 hours vomiting, so missed yesterday's exam and sat it today instead. Such a relief that he actually turned up to all the exams and gave them his best shot. He's gone out with some mates tonight, all smiles and hugs, so that's great to see.

HSMMaCM · 23/06/2016 23:06

Good for him turning up for his exam today.
