Hello everyone, new thread for the final push.

OP posts:
littledrummergirl · 05/06/2016 17:37

Ds1 has no exams tomorrow and nine from Tues-Fri! School are running a revision session as well that he wants to do so I think he will be ready for next weekend.
Minimal revision here, just keeping it ticking over, hopefully he knows enough to see him through.

Icouldbeknitting · 05/06/2016 18:14

Are we nearly there yet?

maxtrue · 05/06/2016 18:27

Well its a lovely day and dd indoors trying on outfits, doing her hair and make up.....in between revising of course Grin

My mates and I are not drinking while this hell is going on...roll on end of June when its then my nearly birthday (july) i intend to celebrate every weekend!!!

Busy week like most here, 6 exams starting with history tomorrow...no we are not nearly there yet......knitting Wink .

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/06/2016 19:32

bebumba is your ds older? does it get easier?

chocolateworshipper · 05/06/2016 19:45

we will definitely need a support thread for results day! DD did a BTEC and we already know she passed that, so at least that's a good start.

ExitPursuedByBear · 05/06/2016 20:25

Why are you not drinking? I'd never cope.

JWIM · 05/06/2016 20:30

Another with a DS starting the week with History Monday AM. Then exams every day with 3 on Wednesday. DS's task tomorrow is to find out which exam he does on time on Wed and which he will be in isolation for.

Best of luck to all.

maxtrue · 05/06/2016 20:41

EXIT - its big session drinking I am talking about!! I am a single mum as are most of my sparring buddies. I drink a little on my own but I don't really like it (I eat mostly so am size of a house)

Looking at doing the couch to 5k, putting it off till tomorrow as per usual but have downloaded the app!

EllenJanethickerknickers · 05/06/2016 21:05

Will need the results support thread!

DS1 has no exams tomorrow, but a special maths and English revision day at school. Six exams this week, then three next week, then all over bar the shouting. Until results day

catslife · 05/06/2016 21:32

No exams until Tuesday here as well. All the revision classes at school finished at half term so it's home study from now on. It's a bit easier now there are fewer subjects to fit in though.
It's an INSET day at dds school tomorrow so the exam pupils (both GCSE and A level) will be the only ones in the building.
Hope it goes well for those with exams tomorrow.

TheDrsDocMartens · 05/06/2016 21:34

One a day this week (well double exams for Biology/German but one subject a day)

Home stretch now.

TheSecondOfHerName · 05/06/2016 22:13

DS1 accidentally revised for AQA English Language today (understanding & responding to non-fiction texts) because he thought the exam was tomorrow rather than Tuesday. 😂

littledrummergirl · 05/06/2016 22:57

I will need the results thread and plenty of Wine
Maxtrue, I am on the large side and haven't done any exercise in about 8years. I signed up to the race for life muddy run in July as part of a team and am definitely the weakest link.
Four weeks ago I couldn't run for a bus- I started the c25k and after redoing wk3 as I hurt my hip I am about to start wk4. I usually feel as though I am dying towards the end of each run but so far have managed to keep going to the beeps. I go out Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat as this fits with everything else.
Trust me when I say that if I can do it then anyone can and put on your trainers. Grin
Good luck to everyones dc for tomorrow.

TheSecondOfHerName · 05/06/2016 23:30

I'm significantly overweight and extremely unfit, but have been doing the local parkrun most weeks for a couple of months. The first time I walked the whole thing, was unable to run at all. I can now jog for short periods and am doing the 5km in 45 minutes. Onwards and upwards...

HesMyLobster · 06/06/2016 07:07

Good Luck to all doing History this morning! Brew

NorbertDentressangle · 06/06/2016 07:58

DD has Additional Maths this afternoon - it's an "extra" in her eyes so although she has done a lot of work for it over the year and her teacher is confident that she will pass I don't think DD is that worried about it. I think she actually doubts that she will pass it .

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/06/2016 08:32

Good luck everyone today!

antimatter · 06/06/2016 08:35

Art course work submission today.
My son run out of white paint last night Grin

needastrongone · 06/06/2016 08:46

DS has History and Ad Maths today. Unlike Norbert, he really wants to do well at AM, as he's chosen Maths and Further Maths and Physics at A Level.

3 exams tomorrow, so a tough start to the week, like a few on here.

I can take or leave food, it's wine that I struggle with. Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 06/06/2016 09:09

History here today which is my DD's favourite subject and, in this house, considered vitally important since I am s historian Wink

therootoftheroot · 06/06/2016 09:17

history today here too. i feel quite sick with anxiety about it tbh. He LOVES the subject, wants to do it for A level, yet finds the essay writing and exam technique a challenge. He has to get an A to do it for a level. big ask.

Iwantacampervan · 06/06/2016 09:27

No exams here today - she's going in for English revision classes after break this morning. It's the first day of study leave and it was a source of great debate with her friend as to what time they should go. It would be so much easier for me if they had to be in at normal time as she could get the bus - the varying times mean a lift to school or to the station (and someone at home throwing out my usual routine!)

BitOutOfPractice · 06/06/2016 09:50

theroot same here for my DD.

I am desperately hoping the Vietnam war doesn't come up as the compulsory, source-based question. I've been reading her text book so we can chat about it together as she finds that a good way of learning and it's a period I know very little about

therootoftheroot · 06/06/2016 10:10

he said today was germany and terrorism? so he was answering lots of questions last night about the ira etc

BitOutOfPractice · 06/06/2016 10:11

Think it must be a different board then
