Hello everyone, new thread for the final push.

Any excuse Bad kitten! My DD has prom that night if she is still awake after working for five days at Glastonbury!! So will join you for a glass after I drop her to prom.

chocolateworshipper · 25/06/2016 09:55

Apologies to everyone that had last exams yesterday - I had meant to join you to help celebrate, but got caught up in other events.

I do hope everyone DCs that had last exams yesterday is enjoying some much needed r&r. See you on results day (actually, can we start the thread before results day as I know I am going to be in a panic?!)

Iwantacampervan · 25/06/2016 10:21

Monday for the party here - although there isn't any studying going on this weekend.

HesMyLobster · 25/06/2016 10:21

Absolutely Chocolate!
DD finished yesterday but it hasn't really sunk in yet. She did have a lovely afternoon with friends, cake and TV binge watching. But by the time I got home she was off to dance rehearsal, and is there again this morning teaching, so I haven't actually seen her in "relax mode" yet.

We are all going out to her favourite restaurant for dinner so hopefully will feel more real tonight Smile

Hope those do with exams still to go (just DT on Monday or any others?) are beginning to relax with the end in sight?

228agreenend · 25/06/2016 19:48

DT for us on Monday as well, then looking forward to fish and chips and football in the evening.

Ds had an induction day at a six form last week and seem to enjoy it.

dd is spending the day with friends tomorrow, being a normal teen. I'm so glad for her.

chocolateworshipper · 25/06/2016 20:26

that sounds really positive kitten. I'm pleased for you Smile

Best of luck to everyone with exams on Monday x

228agreenend · 26/06/2016 21:58

must remember to get the Last-Day-in-school-uniform photo tomorrow, in exactly the same spot as starting senior school. There's a plaque on the wall which will be a good indicator of how much he has grown (now a six plus footer!).

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/06/2016 22:17

definitely :)

first day of no alarm, no revision for dd tomorrow. Her exhaustion showed tonight so I hope she sleeps a long time.

Iwantacampervan · 27/06/2016 06:37

Last exam here this morning - must also get a photo of last day in uniform (before it completely falls apart!).
Good luck to anyone still going today. There are two exams at my daughter's school this morning - Statistics and Product Design. The majority can all go (and celebrate) after 2 hours and a small group of girls will have to stay longer for the second exam.

HesMyLobster · 27/06/2016 07:58

It's the last one!!
Good Luck to all with exams today and a huge well done for going the extra mile!

Enjoy the first Monday morning off all those who finished last week. DD got up to say goodbye as the rest of us left for school and work, but was headed straight back to bed! Grin

ExitPursuedByBear · 27/06/2016 08:03

DD's prom tonight. She is 'devastated' about her peeling skin and scabby face and of course it is all my fault and I don't care.

Thought all this angst would stop when exams were over.

I have at least 5 girls sleeping in my upstairs lounge tonight. If they get spray tan all over my carpet we'll see who is 'devastated'.

NorbertDentressangle · 27/06/2016 08:04

Just popped back to say good luck to those with the last exams this week.

Soon, we will all be free Smile.

Since finishing last week I can say that DD has done.......nothing constructive whatsoever (unless you count sleep?) !

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/06/2016 08:05

Last day for absolutely everyone :) very well done indeed!!!

Exit, can you hose them down when they get back to your house?

raspberryrippleicecream · 27/06/2016 08:08

Good luck with the final exams.

DD has mumbled something at us all and gone back to sleep! She is going out for a meal with he group of friends tonight to celebrate, one has DT today they waited for her to finish.

EllenJanethickerknickers · 27/06/2016 08:17

Good luck and well done for getting to your last exam. DS2 has become nocturnal since he finished! Poor old DS1 still has 2 A2s, but last one tomorrow. Phew!

Icouldbeknitting · 27/06/2016 08:23

Good luck to those with exams still to come and uniform still to wash. DS has a day's volunteering this week then two days at sixth form and next week he has a day at university sampling courses from the degree course that he thinks he wants to do. I think that sees the end of educational content until sixth form enrolment.

catslife · 27/06/2016 09:46

dd currently taking final exam which is DT. No time for photos as it took ages to get her out of the door as it was!
No lockers now so she had to leave phone at home.
The school is also having sixth form induction today which she will miss part of due to the exam so it will be a while before she arrives home or we hear anything.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/06/2016 10:20

good luck to her catslife!

Who wants to start a new thread?

BitOutOfPractice · 27/06/2016 10:57

We need a new thread for nervously awaiting results!

BitOutOfPractice · 27/06/2016 11:00

I've started a new one - hope that's OK

new thread here

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/06/2016 11:44

Well done BOOP!

TheSecondOfHerName · 27/06/2016 12:52

I don't think I've ever been the last poster on a thread...

TheSecondOfHerName · 27/06/2016 12:52

Until now.
